Scotts Bar and Grill

Edmonds, WA Bars & Clubs - Edmonds, WA Restaurants - Edmonds, WA Traditional American Restaurants 08/24/09: 'The only "nice" restaurant in Shoreline.'

Scott's does a great early dinner special before 6 pm for folks who don't mind eating early. They do a fabulous pea salad, i get it every time i go, and have delicious appetizers.

Zen Garden

Bothell, WA Asian Restaurants 08/24/09: 'Dim Sum in the north end!'

This Chinese restaurant is in the same building that used to be occupied by Imperial Garden.

Welcome to the only game North of the International District for Dim Sum. Rather than ordering off of carts you order off menus but the quality is superb, i've never had a dish i haven't liked there.

Ichi Bento

Seattle, WA Restaurants 08/24/09: 'Monster Portions!'

If you decide to order your dinner from Ichi Bento make sure you are STARVING. This place, while being amazingly delicious, has ENORMOUS portions. Easily enough to feed you for dinner and lunch tomorrow (or just dinner if you're my husband). Everything on the menu is phenomenal!

Bella and Max

I just got my baby's first haircut here yesterday. All of a sudden she looks like a toddler and not a baby! The staff was friendly and the haircut was quick and stylish (or as stylish as you can get for a person under a year old!) Plus the hairdresser was patient with my wiggly little girl.

Toyama Japanese Restaurant

Everett, WA Japanese Restaurants 08/14/09: 'All-You-Can-Eat Bliss!'

On weeknights this place is the ONLY game in town for quality all-you-can-eat sushi. Sure it's a little on the pricey side but honestly, it's the same price as Todai in downtown Seattle but at Toyama they actually make your sushi when you order it as opposed to letting it sit out for who knows how long.

The service is super friendly (if a little forgetful) and the food is really delicious.

Blue C Sushi

Lynnwood, WA Japanese Restaurants 08/14/09: 'Inexpensive and fun!'

Conveyor belt Sushi may be the "flavour of the moment" but Blue C at least is fun to go to and might tasty. You know they've hit on a good thing when there's a group of 12 year olds celebrating a birthday party, and gaggle of seniors sampling the yakisoba, and new moms and babies munching on nigari sushi. You can get a filling meal for under $10, whats not to love?!

Homestreet Bank

Although we're crazy upsidedown in our own home mortgage all the times that i've dealt with Homestreet over the phone i've been so impressed with their level of customer service. I've only ever talked to real people who seem genuinely interested in what i have to say. Now, if only i can get a loan modification....

Pcc Natural Markets

PCC is a grocery store that you can feel really good about shopping at. Locally owned and supportive of organic and sustainably produced products, this place has everything from gorgeous produce to funky tasty canned goods to environmentally friendly cleaning products. And that;s not even touching on the awesome deli and bakery. Delish!

Derby Salon

Seattle, WA Beauty Salons 08/13/09: 'Excellent!'

I've only been to Derby a couple of times but have really enjoyed myself! An excellent Facial and massage one visit and a very chic haircut and colour on another. The clientele is varied so everyone from pink haired punks (like me!) to well-coiffed older women will find something to like.

Tony Caputo's Market and Deli

Salt Lake City, UT Ethnic Markets 08/13/09: 'Come for the groceries, stay for the Meatball Sandwich,'

If olives and cheese make up the greater part of heaven for you then Tony Caputo's is the place for you. The grocery side has all manner of specialty Mediterranean delights and the deli side, well, the deli has to be seen to be believed. Great smokey salamis and creamy, beautiful provelones. Sandwiches to DIE for and the friendliest greeting this side of the Mississippi.
