My 14 year old daughter and I went to the Fantastic Sams today for a cut and style. I didn't feel too great about being there in the beginning because i felt like they didn't really want to do our hair. They were talking about the times they were supposed to get off of work and which one of them should work on which one of us. I should have listened to my instinct. But i did need a hair cut so i just overlooked the greeting. Well, all seemed fine during the cut. When i went to pay, they first tried to charge me $85.00 dollars. When I questioned it they did some re-figuring and came up with 37.95 a piece. Which was high for my daughters hair, because hers was just a straight cut at the bottom, and trimming the little bit of bangs she has. At my normal salon, I pay 35.00 for me and 20.00 or 25.00 for her. But I paid and went home. My daughter was playing with her hair tonight and realized the sides are uneven. When I combed her hair straight down I could not believe how uneven her hair is and there are pieces of hair that are almost 1/2 inch longer than the rest. My daughter is in tears and I am furious about the way this girl has left my daughters hair. I should have combed it at the salon and inspected it there. I can't believe we paid money for this to be done to her hair. Now we have to pay for another cut somewhere else and her hair is going to be even shorter. I have never had an experience like this before. We are leaving it alone for now so that I can show them on Monday how bad it is. Whether they refund the money for the cut or not, they are going to see what they have done to my daughters hair. I am sure they will be shocked themselves. But I will not allow them to try to fix it. I do not have any faith in this salon. The other girls may have better skills. but I am not willing to give any one here a shot at fixing it. I do not believe that Fantastic Sam's holds their employees at a very high standard for the quality of their work. In fact, The State Board of Cosmetologists should be notified of this girl and her poor cutting skills. I can not believe they actually gave her a license to perform this kind of work.
