Serene Woods Spa
This spa is located inside a hotel, a little bit hard to find. We had a mix up with our appointment bookings so I recommend calling to confirm in advance. Spa itself was nice, waiting room chairs not the most comfortable. Services we had were good.
Da Vi Nails
I went to Da-Vi nails for a pedicure before a vacation. The pedicure was nice and they had me sit in a massage chair during it. At times the massage chair was a bit too much but the pedicure itself was good and a decent price.
Schmitt Music
I bought a clavinova at Schmitt Music. When I went in to look, they let me take music from the shelves to play on several different pianos, even the ones completely out of my price range. I was able to write down the styles I liked and call them later to order and have it delivered. The staff was very courteous and friendly.
Golden Tan Salons
I have skin that burns very easily so I find it very difficult to obtain a tan. I had been using the cheapest level of beds and not getting anywhere, so I upgraded to the Silver Bullet bed and for the second time in my life actually got a tan. Even my legs were nice and brown! The prices are reasonable compared to others in the area and your points don't expire. I rarely had to wait for a bed and when I did, it was only 10 minutes.
Martini's Bar & Grill
Martini's was my favorite place to eat while in college. All of their food is excellent and the atmosphere is fun. They have a long list of tasty martinis, but all of their drinks are good. I recommend the strawberry daiquiri!
Hair Techniques
I've had my hair done many places, including expensive spas, but I'm never as happy with the result as I am at Hair Techniques. It's my first choice for haircuts, coloring, and updos. They also have an excellent massage therapist! Not only does all the staff do excellent work, but they charge about half of what you'd pay in a larger town.
Boz-Wellz
Boz-Wellz has fantastic homemade pasta and reasonable prices. It has a fun, cozy atmosphere. The staff is very friendly. You'll typically find college students escaping the cafeteria on weekends
Plaza Mexico
I loved this place when I was in college! They have excellent foot and great daiquiris. It's a family friendly place, I even went there for my graduation dinner.
Four Day Weekend Comedy Troup
I went to the Saturday night late show and it was very fun. They involve the audience which sometimes leads to more comedy than the comedians themselves. Drinks available.
Royal Nails
For a cheap nail place, the work is excellent! I was just as happy with my French manicure here as I was at an expensive spa. The building leaves a little something to be desired but who cares, it's cheap, quick, and quality work.
