Stevens Creek Sports Cards is one of the last "baseball" card shops still in business. It is great to see not only baseball but NASCAR, hockey, football and even "KISS" cards available.
My kids love going to Just Breakfast for the chorizo scramble and biscuits with gravy. The place is small and packed on the weekends but worth the wait. Just breakfast is now open for lunch and dinner - maybe they will need to change the name.
Cask and Flask liquors is a good alternative when BevMo is closed (open later than BevMo) or you need a specialty beverage. Staff is helpful. Prices are higher than BevMo but comparable to other neighborhood liquor stores.
Kelley's liquors has been in the Saratoga community for over 40 years - at least as long as I can remember. The staff has changed from years past but their knowledge on wines and cognacs is exceptional. If you are looking for something special, chances are they have it or can get it for you. I highly recommend Kelley's.
Though I went to this business for help with a pocket watch and not a clock, the staff was friendly and helpful. They pointed me in the right direction. I believe they also repair appliances.
Seto's deli offers the same sushi as their full restaurant but there is no waiting in line. I would advise taking the food out since there is limited seating. Parking is also an issue but the food is worth the trouble. Call ahead so it is ready when you arrive.
Whimsical Frozen Yogurt and Gelato offers many varieties of flavors for the kids and adults. My kids love filling the "large" containers with more toppings than frozen yogurt. I prefer the Gelato and my favorite is "coffee break time".
Palo Alto bowl is giving kids a chance to bowl free this summer. What an offer to introduce your kids to a new sport or just get them out of the heat for a few hours. The bowl has a decent snack bar and video games to keep the non-bowlers happy.
Dr. Miyahara is great with kids. He has patience to answer all of their questions, dental related or not. I would highly recommend him to anyone with children. He is worth the drive from San Jose.
When my dentist decided to retire I asked a friend, who's husband is a dentist, for a referral. The dentist highly recommended Dr. Masuda and he himself continues to see him as a client. The office staff is professional and will answer any insurance questions you have prior to your appointment. Dr. Masuda is gentle and explains all procedures prior to starting them. It is tough to get an appointment, but what do you expect from a Dentist who has dentists as patients.
