White Horse has fantastic trivia on Wednesday nights. The bar atmosphere is pretty decent but I think the trivia nights are the best part of White Horse. The competition is good and they take it seriously.
The recently renovated Cityside Bar is great! The windows open to make it feel great on a summer day. The new televisions downstairs are great to watch a couple of games at once and the upstairs is great to have second bar. I would definitely recommend Cityside!
City Bar is a very classy place to grab a cocktail. The furnishings are modern and new and it has a fun yet upscale atmosphere. The drinks are good and the service is great. It is also very conveniently located in the Back Bay.
The Bookie has every paper product or school supply you could ever need but the markup can be high. They have a great library of both text books and other reading books. The lines can be extremely long and the parking is awful. They have a tiny parking lot and all the spaces are metered. Try Crimson & Grey if you're looking for something a little quicker and easier.
I went here with my husband on our very first date and I've been in love with this place (and my husband) ever since! The atmosphere is casual but fancy at the same time. The wine selection is surprisingly great and they have amazing sandwiches for lunch. This is a great way to class up an evening in Pullman.
Crimson & Grey was a radical option when it first came out. There had never been a Bookie competitor up to that point. Luckily C&G made it through and continues to be a fantastic alternative to the Bookie. At times the inventory looks very similar but it's nice to have a place that is a little different if you're looking for something specific. It's also great to have a place you can drive to - the parking lot is huge. The service is great and the book purchase and buy back process is extremely smooth.
The Red Door is a small restaurant with a great ambience. It is very popular in the area as being one of the most upscale restaurants but this is all relative because khakis and a polo fit in quite well. The food is great but the menu is extremely limited. I would choose Swilly's over the Red Door anytime.
Teryaki Joe's isn't the best food but it's very unique in the area. If you're looking for a little something different or a unique casual date this is a great place. Don't go there for the good food, go there for the variety - you'll have some fun.
I love pizza pipeline - it's one of the best pizza's in the area. Their cinnamon twists are unbelievable and totally worth all the calories. We would often order them for dessert and skip the pizza.
Pizza perfection is pretty good considering the pricing. They have convenient hours for a late night college student and they also deliver. Parking can be a problem so delivery is ususally the best option if you're not in a hurry.
