Castle Garden Ctr

Southampton, PA Garden Centers 07/07/09: 'Castle Garden Ctr is Worth the Visit'

Although it is relatively small in space and can be difficult for parking, I make certain to stop at Castle Garden seasonally, particularly for perennials and shrubs. The owners and staff are friendly and eager to search for items, and are knowledgeable about ideal planting conditions. There are sometimes hidden plant treasures in the greenhouses, like torenia, which have only recently become easier to find. Their prices are competitive and their plants are healthy and cared for.

Feeney's

Feasterville Trevose, PA Lawn & Garden Services 07/07/09: 'Find Your Superlatives at Feeney's'

Intriguing and elegant, Feeney's is all about design - from gorgeous plants and stunning outdoor furniture to beautiful floral arrangements, gifts and collectibles. It is especially popular during the holiday season, when the entire store will capture your imagination with their winter wonderland and a visit with Santa, himself. It seems that everyone needs their dose of Feeney's then (not to mention in the spring). The staff is professional and efficient and the buyers are experts!

Styer Orchard

Langhorne, PA Produce Markets 07/07/09: 'Styer Orchard Has Your Family in Mind'

Styer Orchard is a family-friendly place throughout the year. I enjoy it most in the fall, especially for its pumpkin selection and hay rides. It has awesome baked goods, but the pumpkin pies are a cut above. There are many gourmet selections of food and great ice cream. I appreciate the gift store, because it is known for containing items made by local artists and it is always a reliable source for holiday gifts. It's the perfect place to take your young ones on a pick-your-own berries adventure.

Bristol Amish Market

Bristol, PA Farmers Co-Op Stores 07/07/09: 'Bristol Amish Market is a Refreshing Change of Pace'

Although it has limited hours, the Bristol Amish Market is a refreshing change for the area. From the outdoor barbecues to the excellent choice meats and endless confectioneries, it is quickly becoming a very popular spot. The food is delectable and the hot meals are generously proportioned and convenient. They also have lovely cut flowers and gorgeous hanging plants outside. The environment is unadorned and basic, and the people business-like. There is nothing fancy about the place, but it is fantastic for homemade foods.

Geerlings Greenhouse

I am always taken by how gorgeous and well tended the plants and trees are at Geerlings Garden Center. It is visually a draw, form its statuary to its patio furniture and lovely array of plants - annuals and perennials. Its staff is exceptionally helpful and well-informed. If you need to make a statement in your yard, check out their tropical plants and bushes. Don't miss the indoors for memorable gifts and house plants or the outdoors for great pottery. Always something beautiful to admire or own...

Although the beloved and respected Uncle Bob who established this business has passed on, this provider of glass and related services is still a trusted and reliable one. The building itself is set back from the road in a rural setting. The interior has been upgraded, and the business is even more organized than in the past. No matter the request, the staff will do everything they can to meet the challenge - in an efficient and timely manner. Their reputation for service is well-known in this area.

Rainbow Stained Glass

Bristol, PA Glass 07/07/09: 'Rainbow Stained Glass is Dazzling!'

If you love working with glass, this is the unrivaled store for miles to visit! I had recently become interested in glass mosaics. This was highly recommended, so I stopped in. It takes only moments to see that the owners are passionate about their product. Within an hour, I got a tour of the types of available stain glass and their uses, suggested tools for beginners to experts and a sampling of the products made in stained glass classes. I also observed many return customers who were excited about their latest projects. If you love color and variety in glass - and encouragement with any glass related project, visit soon.

Ballow's Shoes

Bristol, PA Shoe Stores - Bristol, PA Specialty Clothing - Bristol, PA Dance Wear 07/06/09: 'Try Ballow Shoes for the Hard to Fit'

In a recent visit to Bristol, I stopped into Ballows Shoes with a friend, who has frequented the store for years (along with other family members). We were given immediate attention and the sales person continued to search for a pair of shoes that suited my friend's style, color and size preference. After many attempts, we ended up ordering one of the in-stock pairs in another color. These arrived in the store within days, and she received a call immediately. I was impressed enough with the service that I have since recommended the store to my husband. He is impressed with the selection and the exceptional service. The store itself is small and reminiscent of an earlier time.

Handlebar Auto

Bristol, PA Automotive - Bristol, PA Automotive Repair 07/06/09: 'Handlebar Auto is Exceptional!'

Handlebar Auto was suggested by a friend years ago for its owner's outstanding inspections and repairs. This is the place if you are looking for a thorough examination of your entire auto, and peace of mind that it is running like a top, before you leave this garage! The owner details every single aspect of his work - including parts, price and labor. He is reliable, and commendably reasonable and honest. Often, we have had to call him in emergency situations involving our automobiles, and he has always managed to exceed our expectations. He is the ideal car repairman and inspector.

Berry Carpet & Fine Flooring

Haddon Township, NJ Floor Coverings 07/06/09: 'Berry Carpet & Fine Flooring is Fine!'

The long-established Berry Carpet and Fine Flooring was recommended to me by a family member living in the Collingswood area at a time when my husband and I began creating tile products. From our first visit, the owner was extremely pleasant and accommodating. He personally suggested stores in the area that would possibly have an interest in selling our items. Like his father, he has a thorough knowledge of the business and has assisted us repeatedly in attaining needed materials. The showroom itself is visually appealing and meticulously kept, with strong attention to detail. We have witnessed his kind and helpful approach to other customers and always look forward to returning there. Typically, he helps in carrying any purchases to our vehicle. If you are considering upgrading any of your floors, take a look in this impressive shop before considering another. On your way out, check into some delectable nearby restaurants or a specialty shop.
