We get all our pictures framed at Kent Studios. We collect small pieces of art and they have framed every piece impeccably. Their work is professional and the price is right. They are very good at consulting on what kind of frame and matting to use. Wouldn't have our stuff framed anywhere else.
The kids enjoy a trip to Playhouse Lanes during the day and have great memories of glow bowling. Adults will find it a little worse for the wear but for a neighborhood alley where you can waste an hour knocking down pins and entertain the kids while keeping them active, it does the job.
We've gotten flowers here for prom and other school dances and they are great at color matching flowers to the date's dress. They are our go-to florist whenever we need to send flowers for whatever occasion. Their creations/bouquets are always first class.
If you're looking for a quality bike and a shop that will stand behind it then this is the place to go! It is a small shop but they know their stuff and won't nickel and dime you for minor adjustments. My son's chain kept slipping about a year after we bought his bike there. We took it in and they fixed it on the spot, no questions asked and no charge.
We get our sandwich meats and cheese from here every week and pick up great rolls and Jewish pickles while we are at it. Service is always fast though this place is popular so sometimes parking and waiting at the deli counter can be issues. But there are usually at least three people behind the deli counter any time things get busy. Produce is fresh and they have a number of Italian specialties. We also get sandwich trays here for parties and they are reasonably priced and jam packed with meat and cheese on delicious rolls.
We got a couple of really great party trays for graduation here. Parking is rough but well worth the trouble. Their party trays are delicious and their aisles are jam packed with all kinds of Italian treats and specialties. If you want great Italian food, they'll make it for you or you can get the ingredients you need to make your own.
Peppy's service and attention to detail is great. They were the only place I would have look at my VW Golf when I was having trouble with it. They kept it on the road over the years and didn't rake me over the coals. Although I'll probably never buy another VW whatever car I buy I'll have no qualms about taking it to Peppy's for service and inspections.
Despite the questionable name this is a great no frills neighborhood spot for the comic book aficianado. Boxes and boxes of classic comic books along with displays of the latest slick and shinys and graphic novels. Younger kids need to be accompanied by an adult to help steer them clear of some of the more mature material but it's probably safe for young teens. They also put on a pretty good Free Comic Book Day (first Saturday in May each year) for such a small shop.
Recent management change in late 2008/early 2009 has left a little to be desired. Prices seem higher, service is a little slower, and some of our favorite dishes just aren't the same. Still, as Chinese restaurants go you really can't miss with Szechuan Hill. Still the best we've had in the area.
Nice little unassuming spot that always seems to be busy, which says a lot about it's food. Good sandwiches and cheese steaks and friendly service. Great for a quick bite with the spouse while running errands or with a couple of the kids without breaking the bank.
