I'm so excited to be reviewing this jewel in the Philadelphia area. The whole family ate there. Portion sizes were excellent. Prices were very reasonable for a NICE KOSHER MEAL. I ate the cornish hens, my husband the burger. The service was great. WE were too full for dessert. We'll be back. Make sure you get the elegant french fries...delicious.
Max's is always a choice for our family. The schwarma is really good, (although not as good as Israeli schwarma). When they opened, we were all about their fried chicken, but over time, we've eaten lots of other things on the menu. Sometimes the service is slow...but over all much improved. Prices are reasonable for kosher meat.
be aware of Jewish holidays, because sometimes the wait can be very long.
I wish they would give bigger glasses for water. And I've never seen bugs.
We consider the food adequate...nothing outstanding. The baked ziti is acceptable. The pizza was expensive and the ingredients sparse. But we continue to return here...because they are a kosher establishment and their food is acceptable. They carry a hispanic food line as well...but I've never been overly impressed with it..
I just had two business transactions with this store. The replaced the head on my engagement ring, and it turned out beautifully, and LESS than their reasonable estimate. They also provided an up to date estimate for my diamond. My husband also bought his first diamonds for me here...and they really educated him. The prices were quite good, and the diamonds were gorgeous, although small. He told me that Mervis offered a plan, where you could bring them back and upgrade them at any time. So I saved a few bucks, and did just that. I got great help from them. I can't wait to go back.
While I have not bought jewelry here, I have had jewelry repaired here. They were very appropriate and responsible in their dealings, promises of availability as well. Their prices on repairs were very reasonable.
I plan to use their jewelry design services in the future. I would recommend them to others.
Dr. O'Neill is now following two of my children for different dermatological conditions. I have been very very impressed with her interactions with my children, as she gained their trust in a very short time. She practices conservative medicine, not jumping to surgical management.. She does accept some insurance. I've yet to master the parking situation for her office, but I'm getting closer with each annual visit.
My dentist for over 25 years, we have followed Steve for his clinical services, and his state of the art techniques. He has provided excellent education when appropriate. He has a nice rapport with my children. His current hygienists is quite good and there is great front office help. . Personally I have had a lot of dental work done, and am not the best patient, and he is very patient with me. I have not used his cosmetic dentistry services per se, but I know that he does them. His prices have been consistently higher or slightly more than others in the area, but I have found his care worth the money difference. He works from two office locations.
Dr. Feldman has become my new favorite orthodentist. We have just completed a journey of Orthodenture and braces for my daughter, and he had a nice relationship with her. She was compliant with his requests. His office help is great. He uses state of the art computer equipment to plan the orthodontic changes, and communicate those changes to the patient and family. Financially, his fees were comparable to other orthodentists in the area. He met his goals as designed in the original plan of care. I have already recommended the practice.
From start to finish I was impressed with this surgeon and his care of my daughter during four wisdom teeth extraction. She liked the pre-surgical meeting where he answered her questions and responded to her fears. She liked the video he showed as well. He was professional, qualified front office staff, and good care. Information provided to the family post-operatively was appropriate. And the follow up visit was flawless. I've referred many to him. .
Dr. Paul Pebbles is one of the reasons I joined this practice of pediatricians 21 years ago. Trained by Barry Brazelton at Harvard, he brings a unique approach to practicing pediatric medicine, which involves recognizing the developing emotional issues with the child. It translates into CARING as well as excellent medical skills. Supportive of breastfeeding, Excellent referals when needed.
Limited insurance participation and well worth every out of pocket penny spent.
