I ordered from Verona's once since I moved into the area. the pizza was really good. The delivery took a little longer than expected, and the price was pretty steep. The pizza was good...really good, but It may be a while before I'm ready to try again.
I have to be in the right mood for jazz. One night I was and so I went. It was a good choice. The food was good, but a tad pricey. The music was great. Some of the other patrons were a little snooty, but that's their problem. All in all, a good spot
You may be tempted to drive by when you see the unassuming outside. Do yourself a favor. go in get a cheesesteak(any kind) and you will be glad you did. The mushroom cheesesteak with fried onions in life changing. The rolls are the best. I may see you there.
I had the occassion to stop in here one day, as I was in the area on business. I had my doubts going in, but I was shocked to find the great food inside. I had a club sandwich which was piled high with turkey and bacon. The rye bread was fresh and delicious. A very good choice!
I forget why I was down in this part of town, but if the pizza in this place was the only reason, it is a good thing I forgot. I guess it is just outside the real Italian South Philly area, because they forgot the recipe for good pizza. Maybe they'll read this and get the hint.
This is a nice little place, but it was really crowded when I was last there. I guess most of the area spots are fairly crowded. There was a very interesting feel about the place. The food was OK but the staff was quick and the drinks were right, as was the price.
Not a bad little spot. The night I went with friends, it was so crowded, you couldn't move. It was clear that there were a slew of regulars, and they all seemed to know each other. They also didn't seem to want to know you if you weren't a regular. It is a shame it was so crowded. It seemed like it could be a half decent place.
I don't know what made me want to go in, as a 4th generation Irishman, I probably had my mind made up before I went in. However English pubs just don't have the same friendly, comfortable feeling that an Irish pub has. If this place is any indication, any mediocre Irish pub will treat you much better than this English pub. Slainte!
This is one big restaurant. Great for families, or just the two of us. The food is good comfort food. I wouldn't say it was gourmet, but most of that stuff isn't so hot. You will get a good meal at a reasonable price. There is loads of atmosphere, as well. lots to look at.
Rosati's has been here for many years. I don't live nearby, but once in a while, it is nice to go back for real water ice. Yes that is real lemon in the lemon water ice. They do it the old fashioned way, and it works!
