Del Rose Cafe
This is a great little cozy restaurant, with a tucked away patio (with heaters) off the side. The pasta portions are heaping, and the restaurant offers a very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Come hungry because the portions are ample!
Coffee Beanery
This is a great place for coffee specials while shopping -- and really was hot before Starbuck' and the other coffee chains stepped in! Coffee Beanery did it first, and does it best. And boasts a great little shop for coffee enthusiasts as well.
Charcoal Pit
The first of the Wilmington Charcoal Pits, this is, and continues to be, a big hangout for local highschoolers. Known for the "kitchen sink" where every flavor of ice cream is dumped into one bowl with 20 spoons, this place reminds you of a well worn diner -- sticky tables and all. For a smoother crowd, try the sister site on Kirkwood Highway where plasma tv's allow you to watch any game you want, and the bar is comfortable and hopping.
Queen Bean Cafe
I believe I ate here at one time when it was located outside of the city. The atmosphere is funky, with some great coffee options and vegetarian selections. Cozy and small.
Cromwell's Tavern
Formerly knows as Schoonover's, this is a tavern environment at its best. Dinner at the bar is just as much fun as dinner at a table. A great place for a casual meal with a friend or for a date.
Kelly's Logan House
The Kelly family has owned this Trolley Square staple for years. Not known for its food, the patio and bar do offer an amazing gathering point for any time of event. You MUST try the patio during the summer -- excellent view of all Trolley Square activities. The owner is also very involved in animal events (Del Humane Assoc)
Delaware Pet Cremations Inc
Rob and his team are truly wonderful and compassionate at the worst time of a pet owner's life with their pet. I have seen this both as a pet owner and as an employee at a vet practice that uses his services. For special conditions, he leaves his family, on a holiday, to make sure the most ethical humane treatment of your pet occurs. Truly an amazing person.
Stoney's British Pub
The outside of this place is really deceiving. You can get a nice meal with a nice crowd at the bar, and it is situated right in the center of Concord Pike. Worth a stop for fish and chips and a good cold beer -- and some colorful conversation at the bar.
Harry's Savoy Grill
The first of the Harry restaurants, Harry's Savoy cannot be beat. I have attended fundraisers, banquets, weddings -- as well as had private dinners and met friends for happy hour. This restaurant serves all up just right. Highly recommended.
Eclipse Bistro
A nice, upscale atmosphere, and conveniently located right off the Delaware Avenue strip. Tabes are angled close to each other, so you may want to leave the intimate conversations at home.
