Saxony is a small women's clothing store in a little strip mall. They have very nice clothes. The staff can be less than polite at times. The prices are in the higher range.
Sub City has been going strong for many years. It is a local place. Better than Subway. And since the move a couple of years ago, an easy place to stop and get a good sub for a fair price.
Happy Chef is located in the older downtown area near the old John Deere Tractor works. It is a popular place. The only non-fast food place in the area. It was wiped out by a flood last year. People waited for its return. It is reincarnated and doing well.
This is the place pool-players like to go. They have league games here in the fall and winter. The food prices have gone up lately and now seem a little pricey.
Opened with lots of fanfare. Lots of people like it. I am not one of them. I have eaten a lot of southern style BBQ in a lot of southern states. It is okay but I prefer different styles of sauces.
Good pizza in a small town. PP has been around for a long time. With no competition it would be easy for it to slide a little. But it hasn't. Still good pizza at a fair price.
The RIte Spot has been around for many decades. Typical small town bar-cafe. The specialty now seems to be Mexican food. I have tried it but will stick with the hamburgers. I prefer my Mexican food without runny cheese.
Z's is an off the beaten path location but the food is very good. It is in a small-business area and is busy at noon with workers looking for a good lunch. In the evening the locals gather for for the food and drinks.
OP is a good place for lasagna, pizza, sandwiches, etc. The food is always good. It has kind of a bar-style atmosphere but is family friendly. It can get really busy here in the evening so you may have to wait a while... but it is worth it.
This is the place to see. Paco spray-painted the ceiling as a copy of the Sistine Chapel. It is hard to believe it could be done with spray paint. Very beautiful. The food is good. Prices are on the higher side, about what would be expected for a special place like this.
