Bao Bao Bakery & Cafe
The uniqueness of the pastries is what always gets me with Bao Bao. They are really good. Some may take some getting used to, but all in all, the fare here is wonderful.
Port Of Piraeus Market
We really liked the food at Port of Piraeus. The salads are huge, and chock full of ingredients - they don't skimp on those. Try also the wraps, with the tzatziki sauce, of course. Well worth the trip there.
Aspen Hill Lottery, Beer, & Wine
We've bought a few things from here, but haven't been too impressed with the service. The men behind the till are pretty much no-nonsense. They do have a notary which we have used often, and it is available 7 days a week, so that's a plus.
City Diner
City Diner serves pretty standard American food, but it's better tasting than most. There is a LOT of food in each order, so be warned. The staff is great as well. Highly recommended.
Alamo Grill Of Georgetown
I loved the food at Alamo Grill. The standard fare was available (tacos, burritos and such), but it tasted really good. The place could do with some pepping up, but that wasn't that annoying. Try it out!
Tiny's Flowers & Balloons
This place was great. I bought a small bouquet of flowers for my mother's birthday here, and the staff helped with suggestions as to what she might like. The flowers were very fresh, and lasted for many days. I'd shop here again.
Tenley Wine & Liquor
We've run into Tenley just before a party or something, to pick up some wine for a friend. The selection is great, and the advice they give you is often helpful.
Pollo Campero
I've never been a fan of "broasted chicken", and Pollo Campero sells the stuff. It's a standard take-out, and is very popular with some. i wasn't impressed. The horchata was the only thing to write home about.
Bethesda Bagels
I've bought bagels from many different places, and Bethesda Bagels is up there with the rest. Freshly baked, the taste is on point. I don't go there often, but have not been disappointed with my purchases.
Acker and Son Inc
We were having some wiring issues in our home, and Acker & Sons came out to our place. They evaluated and repaired the problem with little hassle. They were friendly and professional. We'd use them again.
