I've used Monument Auto to have my car fixed several times, and they were always great. The owner is very friendly, and even drove from his home once back to the shop to give me my car keys after work when one of the employees had locked them up by mistake. All in all, a really great car shop.
Priddy Chimney Sweep cleaned out our chimney very efficiently and with no hassle. The man who did it was knowledgeable about his work, and gave us valuable advice on several issue concerning the work. We would use them again.
I love Afrikutz. The place is run by Ghanians, and being African, I feel right at home here. The staff is polite and one is not bombarded by loud music or chatter. Rather, there is a soccer match on the telly, or a Ghanian movie. My barber Eric always does a good job, and asks after my father every time I see him. All in all, a great place for a haircut.
I now understand when people say that they will always remember a doctor who saved their child's life. Dr. Rogers was that physician for us. Our daughter had serious feeding/GI problems as an infant, and desperate after trying countless things and being told by our pediatrician (who we changed) that it was "just colic", we finally forced an appointment with Dr. Rogers. He was exactly what we needed - kind, caring, attentive, he listened to what we had to say and set us on the path of recovery. Our daughter blossomed under his care, and he would call us at home just to check on how she was doing, which simply blew us away. He followed her for almost 10 months, and brought us through a very traumatic time. Our daughter is now healthy and happy, and we credit Dr. Rogers for that. There is not enough we can say about him - if there were 10 stars, we'd give him 11!
We can't say enough about Pathway. Our daughter thrived there, and felt at home. She learned to speak, began learning manners, how to hold a pen, singing songs, and so much more. They spoke with her in both Spanish and English (the languages we use at home), and were so attentive to the dynamics of our family and our circumstances. The teachers are lovely, and truly loved our daughter during the few months she was there. We had to change daycares to one closer to our workplace, but would have loved to stay on at Pathway. We were very sad to have to leave. We will always remember what they did for our daughter, and cannot recommend them highly enough.
We were in Block Island for a wedding, and stayed here for a night. We really enjoyed our time there. The staff was nice, and the rooms comfy. We'd recommend it to anyone.
Our daughter had a serious feeding/GI issue which Dr. Zuckerman did not take seriously, and blew off as colic. When we suggested that we take her to a GI doctor, he was nonchalant about it. Turns out her GI problem was real. He seemed seasoned and knowledgeable, but that interaction colored our impression of him.
We took our daughter to Dr. Marquez because we wanted a Spanish-speaking physician, and friends of ours saw her. Besides her being abrupt and too busy to pay us much attention, her advice was seriously off on several occasions. We ended up changing pediatricians.
We've been to Pho Hiep Hoa Restaurant twice, and have really loved the food. The set-up is pretty standard, but the food is excellent. I had the mango curry with chicken, and loved it. The prices are very reasonable too. I would recommend this place to anyone.
I can't say too much that's negative about the food this place sells - it's up there with Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. The sandwiches are great, as are their cakes. The service was lackluster, though, and I prefer to shop elsewhere because of that.
