This is certainly a great alternative to Pet Co. The staff is knowledgable and friendly, and they keep a lot in stock. We've been able to find stuff for all of our pets, and the prices are reasonable, too.
What a find in Huntington Park. Likely known only to locals (had a local show me), El Gavilan is fantastic, especially if you are looking for Tortas. I enjoyed steak tortas (a bargain at less than $5), but you can also get pork, ham, chicken, and a bunch more that I was not willing to try.
Featuring a full bar and Tortas and Tacos seemingly made from Heaven, El Gavilan is a great place to enjoy an evening meal away from home. With an inviting environment and a complete menu, the place is great. You can get about five tacos and a drink for less than a ten spot, and you will leave happy and full.
Not a chain, but there are a couple of these. Given the choice of an El Torito or a Tacos El Gavilan, there's no decision. Tacos El Gavilan is great, and has some of the finest, most authentic tacos around. At just $1.25 each, they are not only excellent, but also easy on the wallet. The asada tacos are great, but my employees swear by the head taco (not for me).
The best place for seafood in Huntington Park, Gloria's offers a full bar and Mariachi music on weekends. I particularly enjoy the seven mares, along with my employees.
Great for tacos and burritos, Diana's Restaurant also has a full bar with killer drinks. Parking is easy, and the service is quite good. One of HP's finest.
A great monogolian restaurant in Huntington Park, and probably the best in the City. Great Khan's Mongolian Festival allows you to pick your food which is then cooked on a giant wok in front of you. The noodles are quite tasty.
The very best place for personalized name plates and identity tags, bought in bulk. We've been using Orange County Name Plate Co., for years, and they are always very friendly, responsive, on time, and the prices are great.
This was (emphasis on was) an average Chinese restaurant in West Culver City. It's gone now, and likely not missed. It was dumpy from the outside, and the inside wasn't much better. The food was blah, at best.
What do you expect from a place called, Sushi Boy? You know you aren't getting gourmet food, and the sushi is, quite frankly, only average. Freshness is sometimes a question. The salads aren't special, either.
