Take a walk on the pier and enjoy one of the many fine restaurants. After dinner, head over to Churros-Pier Bakery for, duh, churros. These are fresh and hot, not like the ones you buy at amusement parks. A delicious desert at the pier.
Western City Bagel is a nice, independent (not a chain) bagel shop. Get there by about 9 am and the bagels are fresh and warm. You can choose from a variety, but go with the Everything Cheese bagel, as it is the best. You can buy Western Bagels in supermarkets in Redondo Beach as well, but they just aren't the same.
A genuinely nice place to get doughnuts. Spudnut Donuts really doesn't feature any particular donut, but it they did, they'd be featuring their very good, very tasty, Chocolate bars. These are the best this side of Randy's.
Thankfully, an alternative to Winchell's rock-like donuts. Donuts USA offers light raised donuts, without all the sugar that Krispy Kreme injects. You can eat a Donuts USA donut or two, and still feel pretty darn good about yourself.
Soft, fresh and hot, The Bagel Factory makes a quality bagel. They been around for more than two decades, which tells you something right there. I often go in for multiple dozen, and the onion bagels are spectacular.
Culver City's finest home inspection company, nothing gets by Tim and Boatwright Building. These licensed engineers work on both residential and commercial properties, and they are both efficient and meticulous. The best there is.
Among the finest photographers in Culver City, Los Angeles, and all of Southern California, Holly Port stands alone when considering a photographer for your portrait, or your family's portrait. She is so talented, she can even make me look good.
Simply the best. Evan works with the UCLA Diabetes center, with Dr. Drexler. Evan runs a great ship, and when I was diagnosed, my first call went to Evan who hooked me up with the best care possible. I'm doing better now, in large part due to Evan. Can't say enough about Evan or Dr. Drexler.
The Orange County office of the finest business bank in Southern California, if not the entire State, and this is David Wolf's branch office as well. If you have a small to mid-sized business in need of personal banking, with knowledgable bankers who care about you, give American Business Bank a call. Ask for David Wolf. They are our bank, and David is our banker.
I, too, started with Kinecta when it was Hughes Aircraft Credit Union, and have been a member since 1987. Their online banking is easy and quick, and I do virtually everything online or through the mail, only going to a branch about once a year. It's a pretty simple banking experience, and it works well.
