I won't lie, this place is pretty shady. It's on a strip of interesting bars on second street, and draws a varied crowd. If you feel like being part of the weird crowd, then by all means, enjoy the pinball, and drinks.
Gumby's is a university classic! You can't make it through college without falling in love with the Pokey Sticks. You gotta love "two for tuesdays" where you get 2 for the price of 1.
This is a really nice restaurant in the Ballard area. Fantastic Italian food, with so many options, it'll keep you coming back for more. The bruschetta is a classic, but you really can't go wrong. It's slightly pricey, with entrees in the 20s, but you definitely get your moneys worth.
The Ferry is one of the only ways of getting to Mackinac Island, which is okay by me, cause it's fast and fun. They were completely on schedule and helped to make the whole Mackinac Island experience memorable.
I love this place! It is such a cool set up, with a couple different levels, and a very open feel. There are a bunch of different drink and food specials. So get there before a pittsburgh sports game, get yourself some drinks and food, and enjoy!
Roy's has seafood to die for. I got the salmon, which was obviously not a local catch, but was made so well that I was very happy with my choice. My mouth is watering just thinking about the unbelievable food.
The Marburger Farm milk is quite symbolic for me. It is my childhood milk. The milk that used to be delivered right to the old metal box out front. Somehow, it just tastes better than other milk. Now you can pick it up at the Giant Eagle, so everyone can enjoy!
Step back in time when you walk through the front doors of the Brick Tavern. I stopped here on the way back from climbing a mountain to watch some football, eat some good food and drink some quality beer. Most of the people in there appear to spend a good portion of their lives in that bar. It's comfortable, historic, and an experience you won't forget anytime soon.
Best wings ever! Quake Steak and Lube offers such a wide variety of kinds of sauces, that you have to come back a lot of times to try them all, and you should because it's worth it. The Louisiana Lickers, and Arizona Ranch are the best, but all have their merits. They come from mild to spicy, so everyone will be satisfied.
This place is almost too good. If it wasn't so amazing, maybe it'd be easier to get into on the weekends. The music obviously is what sets this bar apart from others in the area. But the drinks and food are pretty spectacular as well. Definitely worth the wait on occasion.
