I only found this review because I was looking up Dr. Koons email address to send him a thank you note.
I began with Dr. Koons in or around May of 2007, it was my New Years resolution to finally do something about my teeth. I had numerous bad experiences as a child/adolescent in the 70s and 80s with the numbing procedure and another failed try in 2003 with a dentist that just didnt get it.
The staff and Dr. have always been upfront and honest, in both my financial obligations as well as the health of my mouth. This is not a dentist you want to go to just to get a tooth pulled, cavity filled, root canal done and move on - they care about the long term health of your mouth and taught me that a quick fix is just that; a short term solution to a long term problem.
As far as the crying is concerned, I suspect that the last reviewer was crying more about the shame of being told the truth about hygiene than the pain or pain of the cost. Hey, I cried too - but I made the decision to fix bad habits rather than shoot the messenger.
**A couple of notes....I don't know of a Jason Koons, only Bob Koons at this address; either way the billing/staff complaints don't hold water. Also, Dr. Koons has moved to Exchange Parkway in Allen, Tx as of a few months ago. Either there is a Jason Koons at the old address (for which I apologize because we are not talking about the same dentist) or the last reviewer waited months/years to post this review. I did a google search for a Jason Koons in Allen, Tx and found no results.
