It's hard to know where to begin. Jeanne is such an amazing midwife. She worked with me during my pregnancy, answered all of my questions, grew to know my entire family, and helped me prepare mentally and physically for what was the most fabulous birth. I highly recommend her services!
What a cute little shop! We've stopped by here to see what they had on hand. Nice staff and selection. It's a great place to go by after you've eaten and just want to enjoy looking around!
We were so excited to find this shop. The dressing room was clean and the staff was friendly. However, the clothing was very pricey for our tastes. We left without buying anything, but we'll try again next time! Maybe it was just a fluke.
We really like this shop. The staff was helpful when we couldn't find what we needed. Prices are about what you'd expect of these specialty items and their hours work well for us.
Peterson drug has a friendly staff and are generally very helpful. You may pay a little more here, but you'll definitely get personal service. This shop carries a number of other non-pharmacy items and also has an electronics section.
Manna has a very service-oriented staff. They offer great computers at lower prices and often include specials along with any purchase. We've popped into their office a time or two and plan to purchase our next computer from them!
This was an amazing whole foods shop. The sales clerks were very familiar with the merchandise and easily available to make suggestions or help us find what we wanted. I highly recommend Nutters Bulk & Natural Foods!
Dr. Johnson is one of our favorite doctors ever. He's walked us through some scary doctor visits and is always calm, considerate, and dependable. He's not afraid to discuss alternate treatments and he'll suggest another doctor if he feels they can provide more assistance.
Dr. Painter came highly suggested by another friend of mine. She used the typical "doctor speak" in my appointments and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me. My only real complaint is that she and one other OB in this practice attempted to scare me into a repeat unnecessary cesarean surgery. I know that's a very acceptable "birth" option for some women who have very dangerous risks, but I didn't want an unnecessary surgery (that put greater risks on all future pregnancies) just because I previously had an unnecessary surgery. I spent years researching my options, knew all the recent statistics on VBAC risks, and was making a very informed decision.
Just because an OB would make a different choice, I believe they should still strongly support a woman's right to informed consent so they end up making their own choices. I ended up delivering quickly and easily at home with a very competent and supportive CNM (and a wonderful back-up OB on call and nearby).
I've stopped by this store a handful of times. The clerks are always willing to help me find something and they are laid back and fun to chat with. Prices are high, but service is great.
