There aren't enough words to describe the travesty that is this 'aquarium'. As many times as I've been to Wildwood, last week was my first and last time in their 'aquarium'. The problems are numerous with this facility and I do hope to get it shut down.
Upon entering, the lights were dim. When apporaching the touch tank, it contained animals (sharks and rays) that were listless and not moving. Touch tanks at other proper aquariums are full of animated creatures.
Then there was the pirahana tank. Nothing irked me more than the sign posted over the tank that said "buy me a goldfish for $3.99 and watch me eat it!".
Then there are the 2 nurse sharks in a tank that is entirely too small for their size, with no rocks or other sea life in it (real or fake).
The marmosets were doing nothing but scratching themselves uncontrolably. Surely someone that worked there should have had the sense to call the vet? I am 99% sure that this is not normal for those animals.
The 3 alligators are in an enclosure that is way to small to accomodate their size...2 of them were in a 'pool' that caused them to overlap each other.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY SUPPORTING SOMETHING THAT IS THIS DESPICABLE!
