Havana Cafe
We have eaten several times at Havana Cafe and enjoy the authentic Cuban food. We especially like the black bean fritters with their accompanying dip. A pleasant restaurant with friendly staff.
Los Olivos Mexican Patio
Great Mexican food at an historic location. Los Olivos has been there forever with good reason. The wacky architecture especially the blue glass windows give great ambiance to match the tasty food. A great first stop on your night out in downtown Scottsdale.
GreekTown Restaurant
A great Greek restaurant with authentic food and decor. The staff is friendly and helpful. We took our children there before we traveled to Greece and they received a wonderful introduction to the types of food they would be enjoying on their travels.
Chompies Restaurant
Chompies has an infinite number of New York delicatessen meals. Most taste wonderful, few are healthy...but you already knew that. It is well worth the distance you have to travel to taste their great food.
Kiss the Cook Restaurant
A wonderful restaurant for breakfast and lunch. A comfortable home town atmosphere with great food. The servings are generous just like grandma would have given you and you get a little "kiss" on the way out.
Pedro's Mexican Restaurant
I work in the neighborhood and Pedro's is one of our favorite restaurants there. The food is wonderful and the service friendly. The prices are reasonable. From the pictures on the wall it looks like Rod Stewart and Carlos Santana enjoyed their meals there also.
Garland's Oak Creek Lodge
One of our family's favorite spots in Arizona. Great food, great hiking, no television, no phone. They grow their own vegetables and fruit in their private garden. Wonderful little cabins to stay in.
Buster's Restaurant Bar/Grill
Excellent service with a pleasant view of the lake. Can eat a quality meal and observe the wild birds outside the window. Has food that appeals to a range of ages and palates. Reasonable prices.
Bent Cover Books
Excellent store to find vintage books and paperbacks. Helpful, friendly staff with good knowledge of their stock. Very reasonable prices. There's even some shade in the parking lot.
Harkins Camelview 5
An intimate theater to view independent and foreign films. Many times we do not know what film we are going to see and randomly pick one when we get there. We have not been disappointed yet. Great snack bar. Good location.
