Just went to The Bounty tonight and loved it! I think it used to be an old Hollywood hangout, it's next to where the Brown Derby used to be and across from the (now demolished) Ambassador Hotel. The food was really good, but the best part was the ambiance, the patrons and the music, it took me back.
I've been here for manicures and for waxing. The manicure was really good, the whole staff very professional. When I got my underarms waxed though it hurt really bad and it wasn't a very good job.
Pollo campero is the place for fried chicken back in El Salvador, and I am glad I can get it here. It's not quite the same, but it's still better than KFC or any other place.
This place is really good! Basically you pick your flavor and your topping and they mix it for you. My favorite is chocolate with graham crackers mixed in.
A friend gave me a week pass to try this out and it kicked my ass! It was really cool and had interesting information about self defense but it was mainly a fitness class. If you'd rather kick and punch than go stand on a treadmill then this is good for you. I didn't stick with it though because it is really expensive.
I've only had the hummus and the falafels from here and they were really good! The small is big enough to share and like I said, super tasty. The staff was courteous and helpful. The other items on the menu seemed a little pricey.
This place is really small and it looks like a little shack, but don't be turned off by that, it is really good! The plates are big, I especially like the enchiladas, the green sauce is really good!
This is a nice karaoke place in the middle of koreatown. They have individual rooms for your party, for those of us who don't like to show our "talents" in public. The service is really quick and the selection of music is big! The videos they play with the songs are really funny and have nothing to do with the songs, but hey, you're here to sing. Also, some songs are midi which kinda sucked, but most were not.
This place is old and small. I would go here if I needed to (which I have) but it's not very nice. The chairs are uncomfortable and the machines are pretty old.
We used to order breakfast from here ALL the time and I've tried practically everything on the menu. The veggie burgers are soooo good. They don't taste like meat, if that's what you're looking for, but the patty is super tasty. I also love their split pea soup, they have it on fridays and it's the best SP soup around! They'll deliver in the area for a $10 min.
