I had high expectations when I walked into New York Leather & Fur. My primary goal was to find a few leather skirts and a new handbag. I was not disappointed. They have quality pieces in beauiful colors.
I found the Leather Gallery and was pleased to discover their accessories. This is a small store with friendly salespeople. Their leather belts and handbags are high quality and very nice workmanship.
The Pacific Leather company has a wonderful selection of leathers in various forms. It's a lovely little shop with beautiful handbags, shoes and assorted accessories.
Last Christmas my husband wanted a leather jacket. Not just any leather jacket, but a very specific one. I found it through luck at Leather Unlimited, which has a very good assortment of jackets and accessories.
I have no complaints with the boot repair done from Langhorne Shoe Care & Repair. I broke the heel off of a pair of expensive boots and was beside myself. The people at Langhorne made them look like new again.
I was very pleased with the quick turnaround on the shoe repair I had done at Roxborough Shoes. They were friendly, did quick work and took care of the repair beautifully. If I didn't know better, I wouldn't be able to distinguish the shoes were repaired at all.
During some spring cleaning, I noticed some of my husbands shoes needed resoleing. I took several pair to Dom's Shoe Repair. After a week they still weren't ready. I found myself calling twice thereafter only to be told they needed a few more days. We finally received the shoes, but I'm not happy with how long it took.
I've browsed through the Antiques Showcase on several occasions. I've always been impressed by their variety and the knowledge of the shopkeepers. They have extensive information about each piece and are very forthcoming with appraisals.
I love going to the Antique Market Place. They have a wide selection of antiques, everything is well placed and lit, the aisles are clean and the shop is mostly uncluttered. A pleasurable shopping experience.
Yesterday's Treasures is simply a thrift store of the caliber of a garage sale. There is nothing even remotely resembling a treasure in this store. Junk is more like it.
