Main Line eConsign is an online eBay shop for couture clothing and accessories. While I would never purchase couture online (and not through eBay), they do offer a diverse collection.
I didn't fall in love with John Dorety Antiques because I didn't feel that the pieces were displayed and shown off to their best. If the owner would declutter and have the pieces showcased better, I believe he would do much better.
The Private Collection houses a nice array of antiques, enough so to browse for quite some time. The shopkeepers are a delight as well and seem to know quite a bit about each piece they have.
I'm thoroughly unimpressed by Joslin Home. They indicate they have antiques. What they really are is an online retailer selling home furnishings and decor. Their version of 'antiques' are some cut crystal. Please.
I was in the area of Thrift Collectibles and had to drop in to see what they were all about. They are a very small thrift store, not a lot of merchandise, but a lovely and friendly shopkeeper who was a pleasure to have met.
Whenever I go into Bargac French Antiques, it's like I've died and gone to antique heaven. This shop is filled to the rafters with antiques that are a true feast to the eyes. This is another antique store my husband will only allow me to visit once a week.
We were referred to Spencer's Clock Shop when I was looking for a grandfather clock but also to find someone who was able to repair an antique wall clock. Spencer's was able to fit the bill on both accounts.
My curiosity was killing me whenever I passed by Etc. to find out what kind of shop it was, so one day I made it my destination. They are a charming little gift store housing many of your standard collectable pieces (Precious Moments). They have somewhat pedestrian products, but nevertheless, it was a new discovery.
We are so lucky to have company such as Provenance so hear. They are one of a kind architectural salvage experts in which you can own a piece of history. We have purchased several historical pieces ranging from wrought iron to stained glass panels. The are a true decorator's dream.
I found the most amazing pair of antique chairs and snatched them up. As they needed some minor restoration work done on them, the shopkeeper where I purchaed them suggested I contact Hobe Atelier as the restorer of choice amongst antique dealers. They were correct - Hobe Atelier did a quality restoration job and the chairs now are on display in my home.
