The Yoga Garden is a beautiful space. The desk staff is kind. The teachers are top notch. When I was looking for a yoga class, this was the studio that many, many people kept referring me to. I was not disappointed.
These are fabulous donuts. I love the glazed. I found this place when I was looking for a an above average donut to eat on fastnacht day. This is my once a year, special treat, donut place. I get a box for my husband to take to work and his colleagues are thrilled.
This is a great place to see live music. It's also a great place to play if you're a musician. The owner is super friendly and will treat you right. Good ambience and an all-around good feeling club. Lots of good beers, great bartenders.
The decor of this brewpub is really nice, with high ceilings and cozy booths. Even when it's very busy, one doesn't feel crowded. I recommend the sweet potato fries with three kinds of dipping sauces. There's always a large selection of beer they've brewed. It's a child-friendly restaurant with a great kids menu. They tend to seat families with young children in one section, which I think is smart so that diners sans kids can enjoy their meals, too. We've gone back many times.
This is a delicious place for kabobs. Everything is fairly priced and portions are huge. You can get the entrees with salad, bread, rice. It's a lot of food! The meat is succulent and tender. The staff is super friendly.
This is an exceptional bed and breakfast. Not only is the location beautiful, the food is incredible. The dining room and bedrooms are lovely, as are the hosts. There is an organic garden, bicycles to ride, wildlife to see. Truly exceptional.
You haven't lived until you've had one of these bagels, hot from the oven at four or five in the morning. This is a great stop when you're on your way home to LI from the city after a night out.
I am a devoted fan of Slim's bagels. When they're fresh out of the oven, they can only be matched by Bagel Oasis. This is a terrific stop off the LIE.
This boutique is in the entrance to the fabulous Lotte Vietnamese grocery store. They sell everything from plants to hair accessories, cosmetics and lotions, sunglasses to toys. I bought a pair of green oversized sunglasses for a bit more than five bucks and they are indestructible. Not to mention different from any other pair of sunglasses I've ever seen. The grocery store has fresh sushi that's quite good. But that's a whole 'nother review, that ginormus grocery store....
I must have eaten here hundreds of times. Always consistent, this is a great place for chinese food. Service is fast, take out is hot. You can't go wrong with Uncle Dai's.
