This is a great place to play chess and sit outside with heat lamps. It has a cool, funky, alternative environment. And I like to read there, too. The key to the bathroom is by the cashier in a basket.... that is, if you're a customer. ;-)
I love this Marketplace and love the scene, especially in the summers. I've manned a booth and just come on my own and with the family and always had a good time.
This mom and pop shop is good for more than shoe repair. I took my guitar case in there that has a zipper that kept coming off track and not going back on and they fixed her up nicely! It was a bit expensive, but how else are you going to stay in business?
We didn't think the pizza at Papa's was half bad the several times we went, back when the kids loved playing there for hours and hours. We had a good political meeting once in the back room, that worked well again because the kids could play. This is a great place for new parents once your kids are old enough to be in a room without you (you can still sit next to a window where they can see you), so that mom and dad can drink a beer and talk! Oh, yes, avoid going on Friday nights - it's way too busy!!
Yep, I'd agree, I was always shocked at the prices for the used clothing, but I guess you have to stay in business somehow! There really is a lot of kid's clothing there and lots of maternity too. They need more space though, and coming into the shop has gotten harder with the new curbs in the middle of the road. You have to come from Saltzman or west-bound on Cornell.
This restaurant is very conveniently located and their buffet is excellent during lunchtime. I often get gift cert's there for the kids' teachers and sometimes get my own food to go. Nice and cozy diningroom.
I love this Farmer's market! What a scene of fun, food and ideas! Once the balloon maker gave my daughter a balloon for free because she was helping my son with his balloon. Lots and lots of great vendors and a real home town feel that brings you home. Oh, and there's live music too. The place to be on a Tuesday night in Hillsboro, if you have some spending money.
This was my friend's favorite restaurant and where her daughter had her first pasta! She told me about it with such fondness that I had to go sample and I was equally impressed. Nice place to sit, good, fresh eats, and yes, take out is well-organized.
This place is fancy! And they have a yummy, beautiful lunch buffet. I like to meet my Realtor buddies there for lunch, where I try to leave room for the yummy rice desert... I love this little township area, too.
This place has a bar where a woman can feel comfortable going to alone and having a glass of wine and something to eat. In the dining room, the meats are served up to perfection, great for a date with your husband or soon-to-be-husband, and oh, what's great is that it's a nice stroll from light rail, and close to a lot of houses where you can ride your bikes from.
