My boyfriend took my here for a quick dinner once. This place is a fast-food type restaurant. Everything there was made fresh, quickly and with good ingredients. Don't expect any low-fat non-fat food options. This place is straight up Mexican comfort food. It's good and cheap but don't expect anything plush.
This is a fun small bar/restaurant next to the Marines Memorial Club Hotel. I was here with some friends during an infamous San Francisco Fleet Week adventure and got dragged in here to celebrate a wedding after party. This is an old school looking bar with old wood everywhere. The bartender was pretty cool and we were all introduced to something called sambuca, oh boy, not that was a fun night!
So, I found a coupon in the mail for this place and I wish I had thrown it away instead of going. For 5 dresses I got charged over $20 for them to almost ruin a dress I inherited from my mother. I showed up on the day they said my dry cleaning would be done and waited 15 minutes while someone fumbled around the place finding my dresses. Then I found out that when they washed my mother's dress they torn the steam. They also removed buttons off another dress to clean it and never re-attached them. This place is not worth going to, especially for the insane prices.
I came here to get an engraving done for a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. The engraving was to be done on a small cross necklace. The shop was able to do the engraving for me within a few days for a very good price. I was very pleased with their service.
This is such an awesome place! The first time I came here was during New York Fleet Week. A bunch of us service members were invited by some locals for a beer. What we didn't know is that you don't go here for just "a beer." I don't think we saw the bottom of the table all night with all the beers that continually appeared for us. This place is more than just some awesome beer though. This bar has been open since practically the beginning of New York City and the walls are covered in photos and memorabilia commemorating this place's grand history. They also boost that this place still has all its original tables and chairs.
Larry Edmunds Cinema and Theatre is a book store in Hollywood that specializes in entertainment industry books. They have an extremely large selection of everything from actor monologue to producing books. I was able to find some good entertainment law books for my boyfriend here. The staff is also pretty attentive and helpful.
This is one of my favorite places to dine at. Novel cafe is a great organic food restaurant in Westwood. The meals on the menu are a fusion of California classics but with twist. They have a great chicken spinach salad and even better pastas. Their service is also great along with the restaurant's ambience. They have both outdoor dining and indoor with old bookcases lining the walls. This is definitely a great place to check out.
This is a very good french restaurant. My boyfriend and I came here for a late dinner and were delighted at what we shared. It is a very charming place with murals painted all over the walls and the service was good. I had the fish and it was great. FYI, this place is pretty expensive.
This place is advertised as the best pizza in LA and comes pretty close to it's claim. It is definitely the best out on the west side for sure. Di Vita has some great meal combinations all day. I like going there and getting a slice of pizza with one of their excellent house salads. They also have a few TVs and if you like soccer then this is the place to catch a game.
This place is incredible and probably the best italian food I have ever had. They also have a great wine menu here. My boyfriend and I were fortunate to meet the owner and learn more about his restaurant. This place is definitely a must if you love italian food.
