I want furniture that lasts and trust David's advice when it comes to these purchases. They offer a range of brands and will provide their honest opinion about the quality, durability, etc. They offer a few premium brands but I think their prices are fair.
Don't know that I'd call this place a dive like the other reviewer. I always think of dives as those places you frequent when in college. I don't put Oliver's in that same category. Anyway, our food at Oliver's has always been pretty good. Last visit I had the calamari cesar salad. Yes, calamari. I thought it was pretty good.
At one point, I loved shopping for gifts at Route 5. Unfortunately, I had a problem with an item I purchased about five years ago and did not appreciate their response. I have not purchased anything since then and probably never will again.
I think this is definitely a place you'll want to stop at when visiting Gettysburg. The restaurant is like a step back to Civil War times--the roaring fires, candlelight, and waiters dressed in period attire. Our food was pretty good. I have a buddy who loves to go to unique restaurants and The Dobbin House is one of his favorites.
We have been to the Blue Parrot on several occasions while in Gettysburg. It did seem to take a while for our food but was worth it in the end. This place is unique and I think we will visit again during our next visit to Gettysburg. However, I am not convinced the food is fairly priced. Gettysburg has many unique places to eat.
Sakura in Hagerstown is great! I have been to about a dozen Japanese restaurants and they are my favorite. We think their food is great and the service is beyond anything that I've experienced at a restaurant in this price range. I take my seven-year-old daughter as a special treat sometimes and the staff are absolutely fantastic with her. Highly recommended.
Kathy's Deli is a nice little stop when you're traveling on Route 11 into Shippensburg, PA. I think their sandwiches are fairly good but they seem to pile the mayonnaise on the panini sandwiches. Overall, I think it's not a bad place to stop when you're out and not in the mood for fast food. I also agree with the other reviewer that this place seems to be pretty clean.
I have taken my Hondas in to More Than Tires for repairs over the last five years and have always been very pleased with the results. I believe they are fair, honest, and competent.
Gardens By Grace is a unique tea shop and a wonderful addition to the Chambersburg community. They have a variety of teas, herbs, roots, soaps, lotions, etc. They also have a website for those who do not live nearby. If you are a tea drinker I strongly recommend stopping by.
Future Vision offers a very extensive selection of glasses and I think their optical staff is very helpful. They offer a wide range of designer frames. I think their kids selection is also nice, especially for girls.
