Once I got my husband on board with the idea of just talking to various painters to see what the costs would be to paint the interior of our house, I came across Steve's Handyman and Painting Services. We could kill two birds with one stone and had them quote on on some of the small repairs we needed done around the house as well as painting a couple of rooms. The painting part was nixed, but two of the repair projects were greenlighted. Steve's did a very nice job for us and cleaned up everything he touched as well as the surrounding areas. I was very happy with his help in installing the hardware in our bathroom and kitchen. It saved us a lot of time.
I was so close to convincing my husband to hiring My Painting Company for the interior of our house. The gentleman who came out to our house was very friendly, answered all of our questions and provided us with the best price we had gotten. My husband wanted to save money and do it ourselves, but I was sorely, sorely tempted to hire them anyway. In the end I didn't but I wanted to.
When I was trying to get an idea on the costs involved with hiring someone to paint the interior of our house verses us doing it, the quotes we received were all over the place. Larry Williams Painting was nearer to the high end of the middle range. They had a pretty good pitch, but the bottom line came down to dollars and cents.
I think we may have found the contractor to do the exterior of our house when we are ready for it. I contacted CPM Painting about the possibility of doing our interior. After receiving that quote, I then told him of our long range project for the exterior, which he was only too happy to quote. I thought his price was very reasonable and all of his references checked out. I've got his quote and card at the ready for when it's time for that project to come to light.
In a moment of weakness, I contacted Painting Plus to see what it would entail to wallpaper our master bedroom. I hadn't discussed this possibility with my husband so I didn't even know his thoughts. The young man who came by took the measurements then went over the pricing structure and details. I was convinced, but my husband, not very much at all.
Sometimes I just get so overwhelmed thinking about everything that needs to be done in our new home, I just want to scream. I contacted Kenna Custom Painting to see what the costs would be to have them paint the interior of the house. When I couldn't believe the cost, I then asked them to quote on just a couple of rooms. It looks like my husband and I will be doing the interior painting ourselves.
The Cafe Harmony was a very happy discovery. While not vegetarians, both my husband and I love their menu. We have been there for lunch and a snack during the day. The food is always fresh and the service is always given with a smile. This is our fall back place when we need something quick and don't want to explore or cook.
While out exploring the neighborhood, I saw an ad for Total Health Nutrion and asked around about it. When I found out about Jeff, I called my husband immediately and made an appointment. Jeff knows his vitamins and supplements. Because of all the stress in our lives for the past year during our move from TN to Raleigh, I was concerned that we weren't taking the supplements our bodies needed. We went over our lifestyles, our goals and Jeff took a look at the products we were taking. After assessing everything, he directed us to several new supplements that cost a bit less than the ones we were taking that were supposed to be better. We've been on the new regime for about two weeks now and while I haven't noticed a huge difference, there are subtleties I have noticed. If nothing else, at lease we will save a little bit of money wth the new products.
My wonderful husband completely surprised me for our anniversary. We were still in the midst of unpacking our moving boxes and getting settled into our house when our anniversary came. He surprised me with a gift certificate from Time at Your Table for a week! They are a professional in home chef who shops, cooks and prepares all the food for a week for you. It was incredibly thoughtful and perfect. I had so much fun during my consultation with the chef. The meals he prepared were delicious, nutritious and helped to keep my sanity during the move in process.
I met John Houser of the Raleigh Herb Shop when I stopped in one day to browse around. He is such a fascinating man. We started chatting about nothing really, and when the conversation turned to herbal supplements, we had such an informative talk. John pointed me in the direction of several supplements he suggested when I made mention of a few aches I was having. I took his advice and within a week, most of my aches had lessened. If you need herbalist advice, Mr. Houser is the one to ask.
