Average is about right for this place. Maybe it's because I do have Italian roots, but I was just not over the top about their pizza. It was definitely good, but that's it and I expected more. One of my first beefs was the cheese portion. Definitely not enough on it, so it looked as though it was mostly sauce with a little bit of cheese.
It was a nice experience to say I have been there, but I can say that I'll probably never go there again. It just didn't make a lasting impression. The one great thing I can say about this place, was that they did get out food out very quickly, I was shocked at the speed.
I discovered this company through GrubHub and I ordered about 5 dishes for delivery. I was having dinner with my boyfriend and I was not in the mood to cook on a Friday night. They came fast, 30 minutes faster than the expected time, as a matter of fact. The food was standard fare, but definitely good prices so they have my vote!
A group of my friends came over from San Pablo with motorcycles, and ran into a little bit of difficulty with a police officer. He cop gave us a choice of getting the bikes impounded or having them towed. Well, towed it is because that's certainly the cheaper alternative. Larry's towing came to our rescue. Within minutes, they came and towed our motorcycles to a safe place. Thanks.
Do not be deceived by their fancy office, and their fancy office location, coupled with its fancy absolutely NO PARKING in the neighborhood save $25 a pop at a garage a block away. The most important thing this company can do is to make sure all the documents are in order while the real estate sale is pending, right? To make sure all parties can account for where all their resources are coming from, etc? This company charges a huge fee for just that and it is precisely that which they fell flat on their face when the transaction didn't go through, mainly because of their lack of due diligence.
What a waste of time and money. Please, go elsewhere!
I used this service to clean the carpet in my new house. I was really impressed with how good the final product looked and smelled when I went back home. Plus, the employees answered all my questions with ease and courtesy.
Friendly Plumber is definitely the appropriate company name for Robert and his crew. Everybody who went to my house was super helpful, and yes, friendly in a quaint East Coast kind of way. Very different for me who grew up in the Bay Area. I'm a new homeowner, and the previous owners of my house had used him before for the remodel, and he apparently did a very good job for them, so I was confident in his abilities. I wanted a tankless water heater installed because now that I have a brand new humongo bathtub, I intend on making good use of it at least once a week. When Robert first came over and I told him what I wanted, he explained to me that I didn't necessarily need such a high powered unit because I'm the only person in the house. He said that those fixtures are for multiple bathroom, multiple people type homes who all get ready at the same time in the morning, and everyone needs hot water simultaneously. Because I'm alone, it would be overkill to go there, and the size of my one bedroom Craftsman definitely doesn't warrant it, even when the time comes for me to sell the house in the future. The next people will have the same issue because once again, a one bedroom and one bath doesn't really say large family moving in next. So I got my new water heater with a tank, and the finished product looks good and appears to be sound. I originally budgeted 2 times over for this project and because of this, I was able to splurge by taking my grandma out to a very nice dinner when she visited me last week. Next weekend, I do plan on buying a new faucet and shower head set to really make a big splash in my bathroom. My new sanctuary! Robert is on the wings for installing those too and I really want to thank him for putting up with all my questions because this is the very first time I've ever done anything like this. Overall, he was responsive, personable and a consummate professional. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!
After a successful handling of a recent high ticket item installation at my house, I all of a sudden had extra money to blow and I must say that I am very happy camper having eaten at this restaurant. I was looking for a special place to take my grandma and after much research, I figured this restaurant has that old school classy feel she'll be right at home at.
I read a lot of reviews on the internet, then took the plunge and made the reservation. And boy, it was well worth the money!
ATMOSPHERE: At the front door, they have valets. A good thing too since there's only very sparse street parking. When we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised with the dark wood decor. My grandma was smiling and the world is good.
FOOD: WOW, I say wow!!! Well, first we had their signature salad. Our waiter did all the pageantry that you won't find at most restaurants any longer. Had us hand-select our cold salad forks, he was spinning that salad bowl and pouring the dressing on top from 2 feet above. It was a show!
Then came the prime rib. Oh the King Henrys were several inches thick of prime meat goodness. The meat was perfectly aged, buttery, soft, simply spectacular. The very best prime rib I ever had, and my grandma totally agreed too, and she HAS eaten a lot of prime rib in her heyday, according to her :)
By the time we were done with our entree which also included: creamed spinach, 2 kinds of horseradish, Yorkshire pudding, and perfectly creamy, buttery, mashed potatoes, we had no room for dessert. A shame too since the menu sounded really good on that too.
All in all, I would definitely go again, just because of the prime rib! It was life changing experience! The rest was just a bonus.
My grandma and I have made a pact to go here at least once a year, at least until I stop renovating my house for a while, then hopefully more.
I'll say it again, IT WAS WELL WORTH IT!!!!!
