The Natural Gardener is a nursery, a butterfly garden, a demonstration site for square foot gardening, a "petting zoo", and a rose garden and so much more. Their plants are great and their advice is 5 Stars. It is worth the drive.
Duke's BBQ sits down lower than the I-35 North Access Road. So all you see at first is the roof. No need to "hazard" a guess as to what the roof looks like. Just below the restaurant is the San Gabriel River. The building is large with plenty of room for large groups or tables for two. There is also a private room for get togethers or meetings.
The first time we ate at Duke's, we tried one of the BBQ pork loin plates. Delicious! The obligatory cobbler is good, and the tea is sweet. Since then we have eaten the ribs, the chopped beef, and the smoked turkey. All good.
Zuzu's is really great Mexican food. The fish tacos are great, but the grilled chicken salad is even better. The decor is fun and friendly. Families and friends tend to linger over their fruit tea inside and when the temperature is balmy, on the covered deck outside. The prices are good, and the food is fresh and flavorful!
The Daily Grill justifies its name. The menu is extensive enough to provide the opportunity to go back every day for lunch without repeating the entree for quite some time. BUT you will want to. We had the butternut squash soup and turkey melt combo. Delicious. The Happy Hour appetizers are nicely priced, and the ambiance....be it casual or that special date... makes you feel right at home. The wait staff is great. Always at hand, but not hovering.
