We had a two day stay in Alamogordo and tried this restaurant for breakfast instead of the Denny's next door. Our server was very friendly and funny. The kids liked her too. Another employee also came over to talk to us about the area as far as things to see. The food was good and we really enjoyed the friendly, small town atmosphere of the place.
We had a two night stay at this RV Park on March 30 and March 31. We stayed in one of the two camping cabins. Very relieved to find this park. We were pleased with the price--right around $35 with our AAA discount. Bathrooms could use a little bit of work, but they served the purpose. Many washers and dryers available for the guests. Pool was not operational during our stay--probably too early in the season.
We stayed at this camp ground in June 2009. Very nice park. Lots of fun decorations around it. Lots of little bunnies running around. The only thing that put me in a sour mood about the camp ground was the pool. I got hurt really bad stepping down into it when I slipped on the steps. Very slippery steps that need to fixed. We would probably stay here again, but I would be very careful near the pool if we did. Who knows? They may have even fixed it by now.
We liked going to this restaurant, but left the last time we went there. Disinterested, poor service. Plus they were out of bread! Like my husband said, they are right next to a Wal-Mart. Send someone over to get some if you have to. Sometimes restaurants start out pretty good, but then they get lazy and start cutting corners. I don't think we will be making it back to Dickey's any time soon.
Update: We've gone back to this restaurant for the summer of 2011 and have been treated better in these visits. They seem to have gotten rid of the foreign workers and now have college aged kids working. Based on these last two visits I would probably give it 4 stars, but only upped my review to 3 stars based on our previous experience. The college kids are much more helpful and friendly.
I've used Pet Clips several times for my Corgi mix. My mom takes her two dogs every few weeks. All of our dogs come home smelling sweet and looking clean. I love the way they give my mom's dog Riley a tail that looks like fan or a duster Their prices have gone up a little bit, but that's to be expected and it's still a reasonable price.
Dr. White removed three of my wisdom teeth on three separate occasions. He told me exactly what was going on each step of the way. I felt very relaxed in his care and had very little discomfort following the surgeries and few post-removal consequences. I would definitely recommend him for any oral surgery.
We were on the road heading toward Montana just outside of Casper, Wyoming. One of our little dogs wasn't feeling too well and had some accidents on the mat in our van. We saw the Sunset Car Wash, just off the highway, and decided to pull in to hose it down. This place is deluxe and very modern. You can wash an RV or semi in their huge bays. The employee that we encountered was friendly and helpful.
We've been to Amazing Jakes a couple of times for food and fun. The food is buffet style and is okay. There are several neat rooms to eat your food. Some of the staff were less than enthusiastic and helpful and some of them were friendly. They also have birthday party packages. My sons attended a birthday party here for a friend and had a good time. It's not a place we would go to often, but our kids did enjoy it the times we went.
This used to be a Days Inn but is now privately owned. We stayed at this motel in late November 2009. We couldn't get the remote for the TV to work and the manager/owner came up to the room to put in new batteries and reprogram the remote. We found the manager/owners of this hotel to be friendly. Pets are not allowed in the rooms which was somewhat disappointing but we managed. The rooms are modern and clean. The continental breakfast was a little sparse but mostly adequate. We didn't have time to use the pool, but they do have a nice indoor pool. This is probably about the best motel you will find in Monticello. We would stay here again.
This store had a nice selection of domestic and foreign wines. Pretty decor inside. You can browse at ease but help is available if you need it.
