My parents and I have been taking our animals to Broadview Animal Clinic for quite a few years. Their rates are reasonable. A couple of years ago my cat needed an operation to save his life and Dr. Wingert did it at a discount. My cat is still alive today. Appointments aren't necessary, but you may want to make one if you can because the wait can be very long. Sometimes the wait can be long even if you have an appointment. There are several vets, but it's a popular place because of its relatively low cost.
I can always find something at Unique Thrift Store. The store has a lot of good quality stuff. My kids love to rummage through the toys--so much nicer than paying retail and the kids are happy. I've purchased kids' clothes and shoes, books, magazines, and toys. I like to go on Mondays and get 25% off.
We stayed at this campground in a camping cabin in June 2009. Shady park. Kids had fun in the pool. Ice cream socials in the summer. Buffalo is a great little town.
We were travelling to Mt. Rushmore from Colorado in July 2009 and the water pump went out on our van. We made it to Spearfish, stayed the night, and made it over to Queen City Motors the next day. We took it in that morning and they had it fixed by noon. A little bit pricey for a water pump, but what are you going to do when you are on the road? They fixed it. Washed our van down for us which was much needed
My husband woke up in December 2009 seeing double. He didn't tell me about it until he got to work. I found out the name of my mom's eye doctor and called right away. They got my husband in that morning. My husband was very pleased with his visit and relieved to find out it was nothing serious.
We stopped in this museum on our way back from Utah. Just south of 1-70 in Fruita. It's a small museum but lots of fun. Great animated life-like dinosaurs. Our boys loved it.
We tried to stay at this park twice--once in 2008, once in 2009. The first time we were put off by all the signs with rules for the park--especially about dogs. The second time was in November 2009. We thought we would give it another try and didn't want to particularly stay in a hotel. We wanted to rent a camping cabin for the night but got to the office just a couple of minutes after it closed. The young girl in the office refused to rent one out to us. You would think an employee would want to make money for the business, but maybe not. We won't try again.
This is the place to go if you are in Moab. We ate breakfast here--way better than a chain. They also serve lunch and dinner. Great atmosphere for the whole family. Reasonable prices.
My in-laws lived in this place when they were residents of Aurora. I've been a couple of times and really enjoyed the breakfast and lunch I had there. Good location to enjoy a cup of coffee and/or a meal and chat with friends and family.
We go to this restaurant whenever we are in the Golden area. The cabbage salsa is the best! Fun place to eat in the late afteroon/evening on the first Saturday of the month between May and October and watch the old cars cruise up the street.
