I go to this gym when i visit my mother in madison. I must say the gym is very nice, but the day pass was way to expensive.
Pedros mexican restrauant is a great place for the family to eat out at. I love there chips and salsa! as well as there tortilla's and butter. they also have a great happy hour!
Ians Pizza has the best late night pizza in all of Madison. The competitors dont compare. Ians uses fresh ingredients and their pizza does not sit there all day like others. Chicken Parm and Mac n Cheese - cannot go wrong.
Majestic Oaks is a good golf course that is kept in decent condition. I have been to a couple of corporate events there and they are organized and the staff is helpful. I was also at a wedding at one of their rooms and it was well executed and the food was above average.
I had a horrible experience with the manager at this particular LA Fitness. After receiving a month long guest pass in which the sales rep specifically said that I could use at their club, I went to this location a few times. The equipment is average, the basketball facility is terrible. You have to bring your own lock (annoying). But the management was the worst. I went to this club for about the 4th time and the manager stopped me and said that I was mistakenly given a pass for too long of a time and that I could no longer enter the gym. As a prospective client and potential customer I was pretty surprised that he would kick me out of his gym after his other employees had given me no issue. This was perplexing to say the least. Any manager with a lack of general business sense and customer service to this degree should not be in a management position. Any company that puts someone like that in this position should be ashamed of themselves. The cross-location communication was proven to me to be awful and I would never attend another LA Fitness for the rest of my life. If I could give a zero star rating, I would. They should be embarrassed of themselves as an organization to treat potential customers this way and to hire a person in a management position that simply does not get it.
Columbia Golf Course is a city course that overall is kept in pretty good condition...for a city course. The price is reasonable and the difficulty level is perfect for an average golfer.
Erbert and Gerberts has good bread and okay fixings. The inner bread that they give you (the guts) is great to dip into one of their soups. They usually have a lot of good soup options and I like eating here on a weeend afternoon for lunch.
Broadway Pizza has some of the best pizza I have ever had in my life. Their barbeque chicken is my favorite on their expansive list. Service is good and the place is perfect for a large group of people.
Whiskey Junction has a good biker bar type atmosphere and usually has good live music which can be a fun experience by itself. The service is good and the wait staff are typically at your table pretty quick if your drink is low.
Biaggis has very good Italian food with medium to high prices. Their wine list is strong and I am a fan of the merlot cab blend. The wait staff is typically very friendly and my wife and I usually go there for special occasions and have never been disappointed.
