I have shopped there every few days for over twenty years and like the friendly atmosphere, great service and reasonable prices.
In my opinion, the one area of the store that has the most room for improvement is the fresh produce. The meat counter is very nice.
If, for a special occasion, I want seafood (other than a few things) or lamb or Kalamata olives or fresh mozzarella or brie or even a Guiness or Great Lakes Brewing beer, I go to Buehler's, where I always end up spending too much for everyday eating because they have such a large selection, while Gerwig's helps me to be more frugal by offering what I need rather than what I'd like to have.
Delicious food and fantastic service at a very inexpensive price! I very much enjoyed my meal there and hope the place really catches on.
I've only eaten here once, but the food and service were both very good and I would definitely recommend the place!
I've never had a worse pizza than the one from this place. I managed to eat one or two pieces, and then had to toss the remainder, and I hate to waste food. Two thumbs down. Unsatisfactory is too complimentary, in my opinion.
The pizza dough was uncooked except for the edges and the toppings were burned (not just browned, but black charcoal burned).
The best Chinese food in Ashland, in my opinion. They do have tables, but the atmosphere isn't particularly homey and as near as I can tell, nearly everyone orders food for eating at home.
My favorite pizza in Ashland, although it (as with other Ashland pizza places) does have room for improvement.
(my favorite pizza is Cottage Inn, of Ann Arbor, MI and another favorite is Leaning Tower, of neighboring Mansfield, OH)
Probably the most remarkable thing about Lyn-Way is its popularity. I've eaten there a couple of times and while the food and service were both ok, I confess I'm not sure why the restaurant enjoys its tremendous popularity. If I'm going to spend money to eat out at a restaurant, I can think of several other places in Ashland that I would choose before thinking of the Lyn-Way, unfortunately. I'm torn between two and three stars, but I'll be generous tonight and award 3, I guess. (can you tell I'm excited?)
Every time I've eaten at Sorella's, the food has been very delicious and the service acceptable. It is my favorite restaurant in Ashland and I have absolutely no reservations about recommending it.
