Their special potatoes are to die for!
Besides that...Naked Cafe offers a variety of health original breakfast dishes. There's something for everyone!
This is the one place that you can get a breakfast burrito and feel good about it. You get the goodness w/o sacrificing taste. Their omelets have unique blend of flavors in the many variety that you can chose from. Another specifically yummy must try item is their coconut french toast!
After a day at the beach, my friend and i were craving pho--since we were already in PB--figured that this would be convenient. I'm usually pretty skeptical about trying out new vietnamese food places as I am Viet and are very critical about he taste of the food. Since it was getting late and we were both starving and too lazy to drive anywhere outside PB--we settled for this new place. YIKES!
So we ordered.....the soup came out looking very unappetizing-- the broth was not clear. I was starving so i tried it anyways. big mistake.. after the first taste-- i couldn't handle anymore so I sat there starved. It just tasted like they had way too much anise basil cooking in the broth as well as too much rock sugar leaving you with that sweetener aftertaste.
Quick service, convenient location for UC Berkeley students, affordable food prices for student budgets...where else can you find decent Vietnamese food in downtown Berkeley?
My Favorite would have to be the Vietnamese sandwiches and the spring rolls.
If you don't mind smelling like what you eat-- it's a great place to go.
Not only is the food fresh b/c it's cookin' right in front of you--but it's also fun b/c you do get to do a little bit of "cooking" yourself-- with adding sauces and such while your food cooks.
It's a great place to go with a group of friends and just chill out and have fun talking while you "cook" and wait for the food to finish cooking.
Price wise--super cheap for what you get. If the portion of meat that you get isn't enough--you're always welcome to add more for just $1.
I would come here everyday for their Crab Chowder... deeee-li-cious!!!!! :D
Pricey place with fairly good food. I had the fish dish (you chose a type of fish tat you want and a style that you want them to make it). I would say this dish could use a little more flavor. However fish was fresh, cooked to perfection and great mix of ingredients for the variety of styles that they give as choices.
Dinner time is apparently always always crowded (as I was told by locals). They have a parking lot across the street just to hold more cars. I went there on a Saturday evening, their lot was crowded, the lot across the street was crowded and the side of the road was all filled. I'd recommend reservations.
Service is great: friendly and efficient. Since Crockett is a pretty small town, the locals seem to all know each other.
What's unique about this place is that we were able to bring in our own wine bottles and it didn't cost to cork it. I thought it was wierd when my friend told me that we were gonna bring our wine b/c he wanted me to try the one that we bought from BevMo'
Lastly- setting-- beautiful view! I think I almost love the view more than the chowder!
My favorite Thai Restaurant in San Diego!
This is truly a hole in the wall place. It's on Mission Bay Dr. located in the most unlikely area for what it is. I usually say--oh it's right next to Planned Parenthood--then everyone all of a sudden knows where it is. Don't let the ghetto surrounding area fool you though because the interior is a very classy, modern style and that carries over to how the food is presented.
The food comes in a perfect sized portion--not too big and not too little. Thai food tends to have a rep of being pretty heavy. However, at Lanna, all the dishes that I've tried has been perfectly flavorful minus the grease and heaviness--even the curries.
It is very vegetarian friendly. Any dish can have meat be substituted for tofu and not lose its taste.
Lastly, the price is reasonable.
Every time I crave Thai, I think of Lanna.
Friday nights are the best here: you get live italian opera while you wine & dine. I love this place for its setting (if you chose to sit outside). The seating on the inside looks a little cramped-- but i've never sat inside. why sit inside when you can sit in a nice little alley with a sweet setting? :)
The food variety is typical italian dishes. Food tastes good. Great service! :D
I've come here for dinners and lunches. The place has a nice ambiance. Although it is a little small and can't fit large groups too well-- It's good for small intimate groups. The menu is clean with lots of pictures, which helps to make ordering easier. The waiters/ Waitress are very attentive. The prices are average for the most part--but some can get pretty up there for their rolls. They have many special rolls that I typically don't find in most other sushi places. All in all--the fish is always fresh and I've never had a bad experience.
