We have had some tricky issues with old cars over the years and the folks at Canby Car Care have worked hard at the diagnostics. Nicole is a great mechanic and very fair. She often bills for the actual time it takes her to do something, rather than the "set" rate, and she's quick, so we've gotten some good deals.
Cutsforth's offers a friendlier and less frantic environment than larger grocery stores. If more than one or two people are waiting in line, they call in additional checkers. I love the new bulk food area! I am willing to pay a little more on some items (although their sales are comparable to others) for the environment.
The butchers will prepare just about any cut you could want. It's the only place I go for ham hocks and they will cut a BIG bone for my dog. Service is always great. Unfortunately, I don't buy most of my meat there because I wish they would buy LOCAL beef or at least have some grass fed or organic options.
These are the most amazing windows. They have changed the way we heat our house this winter. However, they were awfully expensive, and we still debate whether a slightly cheaper product might not have offered similar benefit.
The young man who cleaned our carpets was timely, efficient and polite. We didn't have the nicest carpet in the world, but it looked a lot better when he had finished.
Dr. Cash offers a wealth of knowledge as well as the ability to listen to her clients' needs. She can work with dozens of modalities including acupuncture and Chinese herbs, Western herbalism, massage, and nutrition support, but is not afraid to recommend allopathic tests and therapeutic options if she thinks these will help. I recommend her to anyone!
I found the clothes to be well organized and actually easier than some thrift stores to sort through. Not much in the way of children's clothing, but their adult selection was fun and the service was good.
Wonderful seasonal menu. The head chef can often be found greeting people at the door - she's that confident in the product. Fun mixed drink menu too. Great atmosphere. A favorite.
Ryke's is an old-fashioned ice cream parlor with a contemporary twist, with both traditional sundaes, shakes and malts as well as an espresso bar. Games on the tables and some comfy seating make it a fun place to hang out. My girls loved the giant ice cream waffle cones.
Great selection, with lots of traditional and unusual Thai dishes. Mild to spicy, the choice is yours. The presentation is beautiful, with extra flourishes like sculpting the garnish veggies. The only complaint I have is that it was really cold in the restaurant.
