Hi! My name is Lauren. I am the stylist listed on the review below. I believe that I should be able to defend my self and my work, I have been a stylist for over 6 years and trained in many different styles and techniques of hair styling and cutting. The young lady that walked into the salon asked for a cut. So I said I was available to take her. She sat down in my chair. We began our consultation with me first asking how much length she wanted to cut. Quote"enough to get ALL the dead ends off." I also asked if she wanted some layers. She said yes, long layers. So I proceed to wash the clients hair. Once I was done we headed back to the station where I began to cut the young ladies hair. As I was looking at her ends, you could obviously tell it had been a very long time since she had a hair cut. I told it I would need to cut a few inches, but I can promise you I didn't cut off 4 1/2 inches. I trimmed about 2 inches off the length and then began to cut layers. YES... before the client walked in she had all one lenght hair so cutting layers will make the cut seam more drastic!! I was finishing up the cut and asked her if she would like it dried. I did explain that I can get a better idea of how her hair falls if I dry it to make sure it was all even and layers correctly because a wet cut and a dry cut look completly different! She said no and that it would be fine. She seamed satisfied with her hair when she left. A few days later when I retured to work I was told by the OWNER, who is yes and Estitician, that the client came back for a refund but would not let anyone look at her hair. So for that client to accuse me of bad work with out me looking at it dry is unfair. If you are unhappy with your services you need to let the person who preformed the service on your hair take a look at it dry, and not accuse me of being a bad hair dresser. I have many women leave daily with nothing but praise for my work. I take pride in not only my ability to cut, but to listen to what my clients ask of me. I even told to client that if she had any questions to feel free to contact me at the salon. I am sorry that I was unable to please this particular client. But give me the benifit of looking at my work and making corrections as needed. We all learn from benificial criticizm. Not from someone saying that we "suck!"
