Courteous, helpful, and friendly staff. Great space. I was pleasantly surprised by the professional and relaxed atmosphere.
Fantastic rotating beer selection, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and a wonderful "Beer Hall" vibe keeps me coming back. Pinball, shuffleboard, and board games are available as well.
I went to purchase a rug with little experience and found the staff extremely helpful and informative. You can spend thousands on a rug here, but they also have more affordable choices. The staff lets you make your own decision without pushing you toward the big sale. They also let you try the rug out in your home for two days before purchasing it!
If you are a hardcore gamer, then you already know this place. The staff can point you in the right direction if you are interested in finding unique and challenging board or card game, but aren't into the "gaming culture". It's located behind the Office Depot on MLK. Fun place!
Tiny's is also on SE 12th & Hawthorne; both locations have great, monthly-rotating art on the walls, good coffee, and pinball in the back so you won't bother the readers and lap-toppers with your winning. The Hawthorne location photocopies the daily crossword, so everyone who wants to can do it!
I'm not sure how authentic this Thai food is, but it is tasty and fun to try the different mock meats. It's good for vegetarians, but I wouldn't necessarily bring meat-eaters here if they're craving Thai.
The staff here is friendly and knowledgeable, and they have a great selection of gently used items, maternity, baby clothes, nursery accessories, that seems to be added to every few days. And the prices are great!
This acupuncture clinic is in one of the most beautiful and relaxing spaces I've ever received acupuncture in. Both Kimberly and Kelly are knowledgeable and gentle, and the $20-$40 sliding scale makes regular acupuncture possible.
I've eaten here 3 times, with vegans, vegetarians and omnivores, and every time the food is great, the portions are good, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I'm not thrilled with their tiramisu, but the lemon poundcake was buttery-tasting without being dense; the non-vegan I was dining with had a hard time believing it was a vegan dessert. Make reservations!
We hired them to replace half of the windows in our 100-year-old house, and then we ordered wooden storms for the other half of the windows (we didn't want to replace the old, leaded, art glass). Everyone was nice and helpful, from the salesman to the receptionist to Shilo, who installed all of the windows in 2 days. Their suggestions were great, and we love the windows.
