David Barr is an excellent ophthalmologist. I've seen him a handful of times and he's been very helpful. He's intelligent, experienced, and has a thoughtful way of interacting with patients.
The office itself is rather large & impersonal. The woman who schedules his appts can be very difficult, and can make it difficult to get in.
I had an EVLT procedure done with Shari Jackson, MD at Via Vascular. Originally I was assigned to Dr. Joseph who entered the room saying, "Hi I'm Dr. Joseph. I need to see your legs". He referred me to the website for information about the procedure-- me thinks not.
I decided to call back and see if they had a woman doc available. Dr. Jackson was informative, resourceful, and had excellent bedside manner. The procedure went without a hitch.
I normally don't shop at Gluten-free bakeries; but recently l was looking for a surprise to bring to a friend who cannot eat wheat. Enter "Wheatless in Seattle" (formerly Davinci's).
I bought a bunch of the cupcakes- some chocolate cake, some vanilla, and beautifully frosted.
Who knew wheat free cupcakes could be so moist & yummy?
The bakery itself is in a former home- in the north Greenwood neighborhood. It has a few tables in the front that were filled with little groups of women drinking coffee & eating a variety of delectables.
I saw Molly Carlson once for a consultation on osteoporosis treatment options. I consider myself an educated health care consumer and came prepared for the consult. I had specific questions. Her answers were vague. I felt somewhat talked down to. A very over-priced consultation (I pay out of pocket for healthcare) and not very helpful. Maybe she'll mature in time (she's only been practicing a few years), or she may know more about other topics.
I've been going to Linda Fukuda, DDS for several years. The hygienists --Judy & Marcia-- are wonderful.
Receptionist is rather unfriendly; seems ill-suited for the job.
Anne Bucci MD was my Anesthesiologist a few years back. I was anxious regarding an upcoming surgery and met with her beforehand. She made a big difference in my surgical experience. Highly competent, excellent bedside manner.
I saw Dr. Abson several twice. The first time I wasn't all that impressed but went back again. The second time I found her to be dismissive and irritable. There will be no third time.
