Oak Creek ob/gyn is an excellent group of medical professionals. The doctors and the nurse practitioner Michelle are all very nice. I have had atleast 1 appointment with all of them - Dr Patel, Dr Fredrickson, Dr Doucette, Dr Little, Dr Leary, Dr McCullough and Michelle. All of them were very friendly, polite and understanding. I could get all my questions answered during my appointments (do your homework and take a list of questions everytime, you may feel better that way rather than expecting to hear more from the doctors and getting disappointed - they will share critical things about your pregnancy with you but cannot guess your other concerns!). Each one of them of course has a different personality and hence differing levels of personal skills. But overall they are all very knowledgeable and caring. At no point of time did I feel that my care was compromised in any way (even when I had 2 false labor alarms).
One major issue with this group is the wait time. If you are working full-time and have to take time off from work for your appointment, you may find it very difficult at times to get done with your appointment by your expected time. Sometimes they will call you in and then you have to wait for 45 mins or more for the doctor in the room. This can be frustrating sometimes because of the waste of your precious time and secondly being holed up in the small room! I had to ask my husband to stop coming with me for my appointments because of the time factor, since both of us had to take time off from work and there was no guarantee how long it would take.
Ultrasound, NST etc technologies are not that great here. You may want to get these done at other places for a more satisfactory experience, even if you chose this practice.
Having said all this, I would still highly recommend this practice to anyone, because of all the doctors (and Michelle, the nurse). I really hope they become more sensitive to our time. This will allow us to have a much better experience (and they can reach the 5 star rating).
* Excellent doctors and nurse
* Ease of getting appointments with your preferred doctor at one of their 3 centers.
* wait times (sometimes frustratingly long!)
* fallen behind with technologies - not good U/S, NST equipments, no website etc
