We bought an entire bedroom suite from this company. When they finally delivered the furniture, part of it was broken. We were promised a replacement. After a month it hadn't come. We called and were told "it fell through the cracks". We called again 2 months after the original delivery. There was no explanation for what had happened. I called to speak to the manager. He called my home phone while I was at work and never attempted to call me again. I called once more and was told the manager was too busy to speak to me. When I told the receptionist that they had lost our business, I finally did receive a very SURLY call from the manager. He offered to actually order the piece and NOT charge me for delivery!!!! THAT was his best offer. When I asked him if he thought he was going "above and beyond" to apologize for THEIR broken furniture and poor customer service, he instead asked, "Well what do you want me to do?" So...not only do I have to waste my time trying to get a hold of him, but now I have to give him customer service lessons and advice?! And this is the MANAGER!
In our dealings with this company we found only 1 salesperson who showed any concern or consideration for the customer. The rest of the employees of Belpre Furniture Galleries that we dealt with, from the receptionist to the manager, seem to feel that their job is an entitlement and that there are enough customers in this valley and in this economy to do as they please. I only wish I could speak to the business owners to let them know how poorly they are being represented by their staff.
