We bring our cars here to be inspected and repaired. The mechanics are trustworthy. They don't do unnecessary work and they will tell you what things are most important to fix and what can wait a few months, in case you're on a budget. They also have done the paperwork for our extended warranty, even calling the company to get information, which is one less hassle for me!
This is a nice paint-your-own-pottery shop. I have brought my children here a few times and we've really enjoyed it. There are a variety of items to choose from, inexpensive to pricey. They enjoy the painting and the end result, once fired in the kiln, is always cute. It is not a shop for very small ones, since there are so many breakables and not a lot of room. There are often specials, which is when we go, making the fair prices even better. They do parties, but you can bring a small group in by calling ahead to make a reservation. You don't get the perks of the party but it's a lot cheaper and still fun.
We love having this tiny ice cream shop just down the street. It is open seasonally, starting in the spring and closing in the fall. You can can water ice and ice cream, hard and soft. The shakes are great. Prices are very reasonable and there is a frequent buyer card you can have stamped.
What a wonderful selection of chocolates and other candies! I love to browse and take my time deciding what to choose. The chocolates are delicious, as is the divinity and PB fundge. One year there were chocolate dipped handmade marshmallows! Expensive, as are most truly yummy chocolatiers!
This is the shop that runs the concession stand at my town pool. I find the food greasy and I've heard a lot of cleanliness complaints. We usually bring our own snacks.
Ray's has good pizza at reasonable prices. I made a very large order (about 80 pizzas) for an athletic club. Ray gave us the best price of the 3 places I called. They filled the order on time with no problems.
We bought our min-van here. The staff was helpful and it was very refreshing not to have to haggle. We felt like we got a good deal and we haven't had many problems with the car (nothing that was out of the ordinary for a used car). We brought it there for service a few times. They have a good drop-off, pick-up service. Prices aren't bad. We stopped going, though, because the servicemen were always pushing services that we didn't need and it was hard to tell since we are not knowledgeable about cars. We wanted more clarity and honesty in our mechanic.
I brought my children here for one of the weeknight specials. They enjoyed it and it was great exercise. My toddler was not impressed with the toddler area. It would be great if there was a small bouncy area for little ones. My husband and I got pretty tired carrying him through. Children can get out-of-control, since parents tend not to watch, but if you point out rough-housing to the staff, they take it seriously. It isn't someplace I would go a lot because if the regular price, the evening deal is great ($5 per kid for 3hrs) and we'll do that again.
I brought a youth group here for a fall event. The owners were so accommodating and friendly. We used their corn maze and had a bonfire. We had called other local farms in planning the event and R&J was the least expensive and most helpful in finding a night that worked for us.
This is usually where I meet friends for movies. It isn't really fancy but the prices are slightly lower than some bigger theaters around. The only complaint I have is that you can't order tickets online. So when I go to a big movie opening that could get sold out, I choose a different theater so I can buy my ticket ahead of time.
