Great penang chicken! They have great drinks, and their mojitos are fabulous in the summer time, along with their lychee mojito. Very good pineapple rice, appetizers, and curries. Very pleasant staff and good pricing for the amount of entree you get. I always end up taking home leftovers.
This store has been a long-time part of this neighborhood, even with the pressures of chain pet store businesses such as NYC Pet. While prices are a bit higher since it is a local store, the owner is very, very nice and helpful. A nice, basic selection of products, and they are always willing to help you get what you need. This is a great, tiny space but worth it.
Good food for the most part and a really nice, open interior design. The service definitely needs improvement, as does their liquor selection and bartending. On the higher side of fair pricing, it's nice for an occasional day out. Their garlic bread with melted mozzarella is great.
This store has a decent shoe selection but things are not very clearly marked out as to pricing and distinguishing between men's and women's on the sale tables. The staff is not very helpful or efficient, and seem annoyed when you ask them to pull a size for you. I waited about 10 minutes just to get help and waited around another 20 minutes for them to bring me the boots, which never happened. They just kept walking past me and not saying anything after they told me they would be back in a minute. I eventually left after another five or so minutes.
This is a great restaurant if you are looking for an Asian fusion style in a clean, comfortable space. They have the absolutely best calamari salad I've ever had, with a delicious mix of greens and wonderful dressing. Good sushi and Thai curries. Decent pricing for a lovely lunch or dinner.
very nice staff, and always willing to help you with anything, especially with the fitting rooms. They generally have pretty good sales and a nice Aerie section for women. A nice store to stop in whenever you're in the city and feel like browsing.
This store has a nice mix of basics and fancier designs but is horrendously overpriced. It has always been on the more upscale side but it now caters only to the grossly rich. I've gone into this store and been nearly entirely ignored while someone who obviously was of a high SES was treated with the most friendly and helpful greeting. This store carries some really nice pieces but has become far too pretentious.
This store has a great layout and design, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They saved a pair of boots for me that were the only ones left in my size, and the staff was very sweet and personable. I went in on a rainy Monday afternoon and it was pretty busy, so I imagine it would be a madhouse on weekends. I would definitely consider going back to this location, with its convenient proximity to the train, especially. Good sales, too.
This store has a beautiful selection of jewelry, accessories, clothing, and home decor. Very friendly and helpful staff always welcome you to the store and are always ready to assist you in anything. A great place to have jewelry fixed/restrung if something breaks. My boyfriend has had two necklaces restrung and they always do a beautiful job. A great string selection, as well. Great authentic and contemporary items, with appropriate pricing.
By far, Kensington is my favorite place for a random trail ride. A really nice part to this trail is that it is a mix of quiet Prospect Park atmosphere mixed with the areas of more frequent use by joggers and bikers. Their horses are always healthy and beautiful, and as they generally do, each have their own personality and spunk. Trail leaders tend to be on the strict side, which is really a necessity, especially if you are riding with someone who is very inexperienced. With understandable pricing and horses in great shape, this is always a joy to take part in. Always leaves me with the desire to return and ride again.
