We attended a wedding at the Portland Club last summer and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff was both professional and friendly. Everything about the party was beautiful and elegant (specifically the way the ballroom was decorated.) We had cocktails, appetizers and dinner and everthing was delicious.
If you love seafood, you will love this restaurant. It has great ambiance and a friendly staff. You have to try clams and linguini, anything with scallops, blackened tuna, and the mussels provencal with garlic to start. Delicious!! (They also have an excellent wine selection!)
This is a fantastic pub in the heart of the Old Port that is always a lot of fun. Barbie is my favorite bartender!! She is always so friendly and upbeat. The service is fantastic. The food (especially the burgers) is great and the atmosphere is always fun.
If you want an awesome breakfast that feels like your mom cooked it, try this restaurant. They have the absolute best muffins in the area. Everything is freshly baked and made from scratch. Well worth the wait (because, yes, you might have to wait a bit for a table...)
My mother-in-law was in town and wanted a manicure/pedicure so we booked an appointment at this place. The staff was friendly but not very chatty. Overall they did a good job. My daughter had her hair cut there as well and they did a pretty good job. They are attentive and listen to your requests. The hair stylist we worked with just didn't seem to have much experience. Manicure/pedicure worth the money...
I saw Dr. Gladu as a referral from my primary doctor for a rotator cuff problem. He was very conservative with his treatment. We worked for a year to try to strengthen the problem and correct it before thinking about surgery. When we finally got to the surgical point I felt very confident with his skills as a surgeon. He performed the surgery and it went perfectly. My recovery went well. It was the best thing I could have ever done. Dr. Gladu and his staff (Dr. Lehto and all of the nurses) were just fantastic to work with. Many people have a negative view of Kaiser - Kaiser always surprises me.
On our way to the post office one day my daughter decided she wanted her eyebrows waxed for the first time. She was very worried and I had heard from a neighbor that this salon was good. So I took my chances and stopped by to make an appointment. To my surprise they were able to take her right away. The girl who helped us with this task was very sweet. My twelve year old daughter was very nervous and the girl who did her wax was fantastic. She was conservative yet listened to her wishes. We will return to this salon again. The only negative thing about this salon - a sign clearly positioned on the wall "young children not allowed." I can appreciate wanting a salon experience without your children (or other people's) running around however this is not always possible.
This place has the best breakfast (pancakes!) in town. It is a great little place in Wash Park. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is always lively (and kid friendly.) The food is fresh and made from scratch. Everything in the bakery is fantastic (but a little pricy.) Overall a great place to visit.
This is a very friendly clinic in Parker. The staff is always very helpful and easy to work with. I did quite a bit of comparision shopping before choosing a vet. This one is by far the best and the most reasonably priced in the area.
I was referred to Steve through a friend and feel so fortunate. He is a great agent to work with. He is knowledgable and does a good job guiding you as you make important choices. I feel like he truly cares about my needs. He is easy to reach and very responsive. The price is a little more expensive with this company (State Farm) but so far it seems to be worth it since customer service has been so good.
