I've been buying from this nursery since before it was Larson's. The owner's personality is a little lacking, but he does know what he's doing. When you can buy stuff on sale, Larson's has good prices. But I only shop for stuff on sale there. I like the place though, and want folks to support it.
Dr Ann Louzon takes care of humans, and is great at that. Her office offers yoga, and chiropractic treatments. What's really different about her clinic is that she treats animals--yes, that's right! She does chiropractic on animals including horses! It really makes a difference.
This nursery is only open part of the year, but the prices are GREAT, and they have a wonderful selection. Particularly during the sale times, I've gotten some of the nicest perennials, some of which I haven't been able to get anywhere else.
John--yes, John, not Tom, runs this service. He's interesting, and wears rubber gloves when he works. He's meticulous, but a little too slow for me. He's a nice guy, but also expensive.
This is a GREAT place to learn to ride, to take a ride, or just go an look at horses. Caitlain and Helen have created the most amazing horse center. It's an amazing place--for lessons, or just for the day!
Neat art store. Supplies up the wahzoo, including stuff I couldn't find anywhere else.
One caveat--I brought a number of handmade cards there to sell. I never got paid, and no one seems to know what happened to the cards, so if you bring something in for consignment, get a receipt! My mistake. But a great art supply store.
Cute new place just opened in North Plains. Great coffee, tea, pasteries, and ICE CREAM! Yummy!
Nice woman owned business,.
Nice folks running this place. Not exactly ground breaking designs, but good designers for more conventional events---funerals, parties, so on. Not so much for big events, hotels and so on. Good for home decorating--GREAT items and gifts at reasonable prices. Fountains and so on.
I have been a client for several years. The stylists are nice, and the salon is clean and friendly. It's easy to get an appoitment. You may not get the very very latest style, but for suburban living, it's a great place for hair cuts
This little store is open 365 days a year. The owner is a sweetheart. She's always asking the town kids about school, and supports whatever they need. She supports the entire town, and remembers everyone's names. It's a great place for last minute needs. Although, to be honest, the produce is not that fresh.
