San Diego, CA
Dr. First was booked for months so I met with Dr. Stacy Clark. Before I talk about her, the whole place seemed... much happier than other medical offices I've been to. The workers there were friendly and I saw how different patients who came in and out of the office looked happy too.
I met with Dr. Stacy Clark about a possible appendicitis. With my previous doctor (in a different office in the same building), I felt he didn't really listen to what I said but made up his mind early in the process. Anything I said after his mind seemed to have made up was irrelevant to him. With Dr. Clark, I saw that she really listened and answered all the questions I had.
I think it was in Malcom Gladwell's Book, Blink, that he describes what makes patients perceive a doctor to be a great one and it's such simple thing like listening and answering that really sets this practice apart.
My second favorite Pho place in San Diego but it's an awesome Pho place nonetheless. Fair prices and tasty Pho makes it my go-to destination whenever I'm around Mira Mesa. I took my co-workers for lunch and they all loved it there too.
Also, other than the Pho place near UC Irvine, they have the best English-speaking servers - and I've been to about 16 different Vietnamese Restaurants!
I admit I know nothing about flowers; so I was pretty much clueless coming into the store about what to buy to send a thank you flower to a professor that gave glowing recommendation for me. Even though I found out it was after their business hours, the lady that works there was very accommodating and patient. She asked me some questions about who the recipient was and went through a booklet with different flower designs with me. Even though I first thought about getting a more expensive arrangement, she even recommended one that looked just as great at a lower price!
In the end I purchased a flower arrangement that looked great at a price that was lower than what I expected. It was awesome that they went out of their way to please a customer and I think that speaks volume about their business ethics. I'll be definitely coming back to this place again =)
I think this is the right Pho place - the one across from the library.
I love Pho - and imo this place has the best Pho! I lived near Westminster (Orange County) near Little Saigon so I've been to plenty of Vietnamese Pho Restaurants and this place has the best tasting Pho. I took some of my friends from OC there and they jokingly call it the life-changing Pho experience. I go there whenever I feel like Pho with my sister and they are very nice as well.
