Very good selection of books in all genres.
I found the military/history section to be disappointing, though, as many books in this area are not reprinted much, many only had 1 printing. Shop seems to have a "collectors" mentality, pricing these books high because they are "first editions". If you are a modeler looking for reference books such as a Naval Institute Press book, you'll pay dearly for them here......
Excellent selection of palstic models and model railroad stuff.
Only complaint is that they don't have hardly any Roden or Eduard kits.
Excellent selection of model rocket stuff and hobby/finishing supplies. The staff is very friendly and eager to help-- most of them have been there for years.
Expect to pay full retail for most things, but if you're looking for plastic mofdels or RR stuff, this place's selection blows away the national chain hobby stores.
The best place around to go for RC stuff: Airplanes, cars, radios, supplies, accessories. Prices are good, too, and may make you think twice about buying online and paying shipping and handling.
Has limited RC boat stuff- some race boat stuff, but very little in the way fo scale boats. Decent selection of Freeflight kits. Also has a small Estes Rocket section. (Hobby Emporium in nearby Tyngsboro has a much better rocket selection.)
I like that they carry a number of the DARE wooden electric airplane kits, for example.
One of the best hobby shops for plastic models and model rockets that I've ever been to! I've visited shops all over the US and Canada, and this place is in the top 5 for sure.
It has a fantastic selection of plastic models, though it doesn't have a lot of aftermarket (resin and brass) stuff.
If you're a member of a local modelign club, you'll get a 20% discount, and everyone gets a 30% discount on their birthday!
This is not the best place if you are into RC or model railroads.
