I'm pretty sure the fish here is not fresh, possibly frozen. For this reason, the sashimi and pretty much all the rolls were well below average. With the strange combination of flavors and poor quality of ingredients, there were no distinction between the types of sushi.
I ate here a lot during my vegan days. I still come here all the time. Keep an eye out for their specials before ordering off the menu. They usually have great dishes on their specials menu. Be aware that 1) they do not accept credit cards and 2) order your food to go - there is not enough space to eat comfortably.
This is another restaurant I would return regardless if I was following a vegan diet or not. Their 4-course menu is awesome, prepared with fresh ingredients and wonderful creations. The roasted sunchoke soup is to die for. The cassoulet was great as well. For $35, you get four courses which I think is a deal. Do make a reservation before coming here as the wait can get long.
I have the hardest time making decisions here but the staff allows you to sample nearly their entire selection. Goodness knows I have! The use organic and natural ingredients. Some of their fantastic flavors include peanut butter, biscotti and pistachio.
On the days I don't get home from work until 8pm, I call up Krua Thai Kitchen for delivery of delicious Thai food. I usually get the crab Phad Thai or green curry. I always order the corn fritters too. Friendly service while ordering over the phone and usually quick delivery.
Last year, I attempted to go vegan which failed miserably. However, Bang Bang Cafe was my one saving grace throughout the entire experience. Even now that I no longer follow a vegan diet, I still come here for their vegan mac n' cheese. I don't really know what their substitutions are, but this dish is quite unique and delicious. Save room for the vegan chocolate cake too!
I wish this place delivered, I'd order it everyday! I absolutely love the roast pork and salt and pepper chicken wings. This restaurant is very clean and the service is usually great except once it gets busy.
I've had the tasting menu here which was outstanding. Some standout dishes were the nettle & ginger soup with prawns and the ricotta, lemon & herb ravioli w/crab buerre blanc. My friend and I shared two different wines, both priced at $30 per bottle which is more than reasonable. This is a great place to also sip wine and sample some small plates. Everything was delicious!
The pizza here surprised me because I've had their food at the Pioneer Square location which was tasty. However, I didn't care too much for the slice of pizza I had at this particular store. The flavors weren't as robust and I like my pizza crust crispier. The crust here was too doughy and chewy. I think I'll stick to the one on 1st.
I stop by this place at least twice a week on my way to work. Of course, I'm trying to cut down on my coffee intake, but some days I just can't resist. The outdoor walk-up window is most convenient but the cash only policy is not. Great java though!
