Fabulous European treats. However, they are expensive. You pay for the quality and uniqueness of these wonderful treats. Their cakes are wonderful and decorated beautifully.
Sunset Foods - Libertyville
Sunset offers a great variety and products you can't find at Dominicks and Jewel. I wanted to make chicken pate and they had fresh chicken livers, which were not available at Dominicks and Jewel. They have a nice bakery, good selection of meats, fruits and vegetables and a good liquor section, too.
The Village Market
A convenient place to pick up those last minute items. The market is intimate and offers some unique products. Good wine selection and there are tables outside to sit and enjoy a snack from the market.
Lillie Alexander Boutique
Current and fun clothing. Great selection for teenage girls and women who like to dress young and hip. They carry a pretty large selection of Lilly Pulitzer clothing as well. The prices are a little high, but end of season sales are 70% off (if you can wait that long and they still have your size). Cute baby and children's clothing, too.
Life Storage
I stored my household belongings at the Lock-up for about 6 months. I always felt like my items were safe and secure and I could access my storage during their convenient hours. And, when I moved my items out of storage, they had a moving truck I could use at no extra charge. Very convenient.
Animal Hospital-W Lake Forest
I cannot say enough about this animal hospital. Dr. Hansen is wonderful and was so supportive when I had to put my 14 year old labrador to sleep, which was one of the most difficult things I ever had to do. And, the office staff: Jenna, Dawn and Jennifer are all so nice. My dog was never nervous about going to the vet. He looked forward to it!
United States Postal Service
Full service post office with good hours and friendly service. The location is convenient and their is adequate parking available.
Carriage Cleaners
I cannot say enough good things about this cleaner. They are so friendly and accomodating. They are capable of most alterations and they are reasonably priced. They are located in a shopping center so you can do your banking, grocery shopping, have a coffee and drop off or pick up your dry cleaning. Good hours, too.
Heidi's Bakery
Heidi's offers a great selection of pastries, streudels, cookies, breads, etc. And, their made to order cakes are fabulous and reasonably priced. Much less than Deerfield Bakery. The streudels are awesome and the homemade soft pretzels and pretzel bread are to die for.
