I have short hair- I had the worst experience at this place. Don??t get me wrong, they are all friendly. However, my experience was with Celinda. She was done my hair in the past both cut and highlights. So, when it came time to get them touched up I made my appointment with her. I asked for my hair to be colored all one color then place light colored medium chunky highlights (like she did before). She didn??t pull out a color swatch book to make sure she mixed the right color. I assume she remembered me from before and didn??t question (big mistake). After 3+ hours I walked out with very dark hair and no highlights. She mentioned that after removing the foil the highlights were too brassy so she added toner which turned my hair dark again. She couldn??t fix it that day because she had another appointment. I wasn??t happy. As long as I can remember I have always put highlights in my hair. Now I have to go out in public feeling humiliated for 3 days until she can ??fix it?.
Let??s just say at my next appointment for her to correct her mistake ?? I walked in looking like Elvira and came out looking like a Mexican Marilyn Monroe. I was horrified!!! The top of my hair was ??for the most part? bleached blond. Being that they were about to close, I had to leave the salon. I again left with an appointment the next day to come in and have her correct it?again.
That night I had to go out and buy hair color to put over the bleach so that I can go to work the next day without looking crazy.
Okay, the next day I do in and to make a long story short. I tell her to start all over. Color it all dark then put the highlight in so that I don??t end up with different shades of the sun. Let??s just say I walked out yet again unhappy. Instead of chunky highlight she got itty bitty pieces so once she was done it was all mostly dark with a hint of highlight on one side and on the other a very visible chunk of orange.
The next day I called the owner and she asked me to come in AGAIN and have who she called ??my best hair color artist? fix it. I went back in the next day and lady she suggested FINALLY gave me what I wanted?at least the best she could.
Keep in mind my hair had been processed 4 times in 5-6 days. Each time I dedicated 3-4 hours of my life that I will never get back. So, needless to say my hair was a little damaged. Do you think out of the kindness of their heart they would GIVE me deep conditioner? No, instead they suggest I use a deep conditioner because of the ??hair trauma? and ask me to purchase one of theirs! If it wasn??t for their incompetence I wouldn??t have damaged hair!!
I know I have fault because I kept going back. Each time hoping that I would get the results I was given before. Also, I wasn??t able to get my money back so I guess I was determined for them to fix it.
Although she is really nice and sweet, I wouldn??t recommend going to Celinda for coloring.
